Cask, handpump at The Crown, Charlton-On-Otmoor, Oxfordshire, Sunday 29th December 2013 Pours copper in colour with a slight head, I thought that I had rated this as I have had it quite a lot over the years and a couple of times over the last weeks. Touch thin and watery but aside from that it is ok, caramel, nutty and with a little bitterness, (I wished they’d have upped the Cascade and Liberty), it is absolutely fine its a safe beer. Cask@Sussex BF. Tastes quite nutty and caramelly. It is quite malty, and initally sweet, but quickly dries in the end, with a nutty dryness. Crystal malt characters are very obvious in this beer.

Cask at Wetherspoons in Rickmansworth, Herts. A deep copper coloured pour with a medium off white head on top. Sweet, fruity aroma. Tastes of caramel, quite fruity, sweet, vaguely nutty. Not bad.

Pint at the Back of Beyond in Reading. Clear red-brown with a fair head. Dry hops, bitter, reasonable. Just a hint of citrus in the aroma. Quite nice after the initial bitterness has settled down.

Clear brown with off white foam head. Aroma is quite sweet, taste is nutty indeed. Bit watery, but drank in a pleasant surrounding between beer lovers. (Marlow 201311)

at the tap in the village with ethereal. i think it smells of pencil sharpenings(if that is a word) or more formally graphite, and hops (it is a beer after all!). dark cherry wood colour. And hey, i would never have guessed, it tastes of roasted nuts, still a bit metallic but not so much pencil any more. Strage pint it is but not bad.

Ethereal (2417) - Los Angeles, California, USA - MAR 8, 2008
Cask at the Brewery Tap, Wimbledon Village, 4th March 2008. Rich chestnut brown colour with a strange aroma of hops and graphite (like pencil sharpenings). Hops and malt are well balanced but there’s a metallic note. Light at the front of the mouth and then gets fuller. Ok, but didn’t wow me.

Keg. Reddish brown with brown/beige head. Some caramel, fruits and nuts. In the mouth is roasted malts and nuts, touch fruity. Quite a bitter, bland finish and quite thin and watery. Not wild about this.
