Draft @ brewery. Clear bright red-amber with rocky lacy head. Sweet malty aroma of dark bread. Quaffable light palate. Sweet bready malts predominate. Very clean, nice, albeit light with a mineral water finish. Simple bready dunkles is sweet with dry finish, has some honey and husk too.

Tap, orange amber, lacing off-white head. Bready light fruity nose hop notes. Bready base, grassy finish. Medium body, chewy. Moreish.

Literflasche, gesponsert von Frankenland! Clear, amber coloured with a small, lacy beige head. Nuts, but also burnt malt and a touch of barnyard in the nose. Light to moderate sweet-bitter flavour, light bodied. Burnt malt - again - and vegetables in the slightly metallic finish. Poor by franconian standards.....

100cl growler, with thanks to Frankenland. Slightly hazy, amber to chestnut-brown colour with a short off-white foamy head. Light-sweet and toast-malty aroma with caramel/toffee. Bitter-sweet flavour, toast-malty and slightly nutty taste with notes of caramel/toffee, accompanied by burnt elements. Quite light bodied, slightly fizzy on the tongue, dry and slightly burnt bitter finish with a light hops character. Drinkable but not a world-shaking Dunkel, at least by Franconian standards [09.XII.08].
