1.9 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 3/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 7/20
UPDATED: SEP 27, 2008 Draught at Ladgasthof Leicht, Kemmern. Cloudy pale orange, creamy head. Sweaty and fruity. Phenolic with concentrated chemical banana flavour. Sweet and mushy with medium body. Un-Franconian in it’s poor execution and lack of drinkability.

2.9 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
(bottle) Hazy, golden colour with a medium-sized foamy white head. Rather discreet aroma: slightly sweet malt aroma with light wheat-character and restrained fruity notes. Light sweet flavour, almost none acidity, light to medium bodied with a lively carbonation. Yeasty, moderately wheaty taste with light notes of banana; slightly sweet and citrus-fruity finish with delicate clovy spice. Unspectacular, run-of-the-mill Weizen.

2.8 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
Bottle: Hazy, pale golden, quickly vanishing foamy layer, faint cellary vegetables, cloves and bananas in the wheaty nose; sweetish flavour with the faintest imaginable bitterness, light to medium bodied; sweetish-fruity finish, nearly without any tartness, but with a light lemony acidity. Weak aromas, but all in all a drinkable Weizen..

3.8 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 16/20
Bottle. Quite a full aroma and flavour. Some banana esters of course, but with a nice amount of vanilla custard and lightly spicy clove. Soft, round mouthfeel, and long finish, very tasty indeed.

3.9 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 16/20
Bottle conditioned (Fabeers, York). Hazy gold, excellent fluffy white longlasting head and good condition. Excellent esters, peppery banana and sweet yeast aromas. Pleasant sweet yeastiness and spicy banana notes in the mouth with some distant warming pepper notes and a suggestion of corriander, although definately not on the ingredient list. Delicate yeast and grain with a hint of chalk in the finish.
