The 15th Anniversary ale is Red Brickís signature Brown Ale. The Brown Ale boasts a list of ingredients, including 7 malts (Victory, Bonnalander, Caramel 40/60/120, 2 Row Barley, Wheat Malt). Hops include Zeus and Fuggle. Aged in Pappy Van Winkle bourbon barrels for 13 months.

Our 15th anniversary is here! I know we never say it, but Iím gonna throw it out there: I LOVE YOU. That felt good. I was afraid it would sound creepy, but no - it was good. And as a sign of our love I made you The Red Brick 15th Anniversary Ale. Itís a full bodied brown ale that was aged in a bourbon barrel. It earned the Gold Medal in the 2008 World Beer Cup. (Not that Iím comparing them to you...) itís high gravity, so be careful: I want this to be a memorable experience for us. Sincerely, Bob - XOXO

Bottle 65 cl. Courtesy of SpringsLicker. Pours a hazy amber with a tiny off-white head. Sweet Bourbon aroma, a little tart. Rich body, thick burned caramel, sweet vanilla and oak. Again a slight tartness. Very enjoyable. 150313

Bottle: I believe I acquired this in a trade a while back and obviously donít remember from who; sorry. Pours a deep rusty amberish brown with an off white film of head. Woody aroma. StrOng oak presnece and soft dark fruits. Vanilla is also apparent. Light fluffy body, especially for the abv. Not cloying. The flavor is mild dark fruits with a twing of tartness (not sure if te bourbon barrel made it slightly funky (bacteria). Long flavors of eartht malt husk and raisin, but not sweet. Toasted finish. Solid, simple, not bad.

Bottle at Alpharetta 5 Seasons Tasting - Pours an unclear amber brown with mimal boozy looking head. Big vanilla, toffee, bicuity aroma. Taste is vanilla, dark fruits, vanilla, more biscuit, a small sourish component, with medium sweetness. I do not think this has held up all that well and the bourbon was not as prominant as I would had hoped. A bit thinned out as well. Overall, past its prime, but still decent.

Aromas of bourbon, vanilla, molasses, caramel, raisin, overripe banana. Pours reddish brown with an inch or so of tan head. Some spotty lacing. Med carbonation, lt/med body - lighter than expected. Smooth and creamy mouthfeel. Sweet malts on display here, interesting fruity tartiness in the middle (like pineapple), some wood. Finishes crisp and fairly dry. Enjoyable brew overall.

Nose is full of bourbon, not overwhelmingly alcoholic, but pleasant sweet bourbon, wood, vanilla as well as caramel, toasted nuts, roast, and earth. Pours brown, thin non lasting head. The flavor starts with sweet bourbon, vanilla and wood, moves through roasted nuts, chocolatey and caramel notes, earthy bitterness, more bourbon, and a dry finish. Somewhat thinned out, but not hot and with pleasant flavor. Good.

22 oz. bottle shared with the locals. Pours a cloudy copper brown color with a small beige head. The aroma is bourbon up front with some sweet malts and a hint of grass. The flavor, again, is bourbon up front with additional notes of caramel, grass, vanilla, and fruits. The mouth feel is a bit too thin. If it had more viscosity and body, the bourbon would not dominate so much.

dark clear copper with a very light tan head, forms a light ring, ok lacing... light bourbon on the nose, a hint of vanilla, and caramel, smells good but to weak... taste is just watery bourbon, this is not good at all, like a glass of bourbon in a 10oz glass of ice that all melted, way to watery and boring

Thanks to KP for sharing one of his many bottles.
22oz bottle. Clear brown color. A touch of bourbon in the nose. Flavor of those candy circus peanuts. Sweet, sugary. Finishes with an herbal alcoholic bourbon essence.
