COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
The 15th Anniversary ale is Red Brickís signature Brown Ale. The Brown Ale boasts a list of ingredients, including 7 malts (Victory, Bonnalander, Caramel 40/60/120, 2 Row Barley, Wheat Malt). Hops include Zeus and Fuggle. Aged in Pappy Van Winkle bourbon barrels for 13 months.

Our 15th anniversary is here! I know we never say it, but Iím gonna throw it out there: I LOVE YOU. That felt good. I was afraid it would sound creepy, but no - it was good. And as a sign of our love I made you The Red Brick 15th Anniversary Ale. Itís a full bodied brown ale that was aged in a bourbon barrel. It earned the Gold Medal in the 2008 World Beer Cup. (Not that Iím comparing them to you...) itís high gravity, so be careful: I want this to be a memorable experience for us. Sincerely, Bob - XOXO

Aroma is moderate bourbon, sweet caramel, and a bit of alcohol. Not a very complex beer, bourbon leads the way with a slight pine hoppiness and abunch of amber malt flavors. A good beer, but unremarkable.

Bomber picked up from Little 5 Points liquor. Cracking this one open on this very snowy December 25th to honor of Mithras. This a very red beer with a small ring of a white head. Bourbon is dominant in the aroma. Boy, itís hard to get anything else in the nose, maybe some hops. Lots of bourbon going on in the flavor as well, though a grassy hop flavor is definitely apparent in the finish. Iím conditioned to expect a heavier palate from beers that taste so much like bourbon, this one is just middle of the road. This one is pretty good if you like bourbon whiskey.

Medium to full body with a smooth texture and soft carbonation. Medium to heavy bourbon sweet malt flavor with a medium pleasing sweet finish of moderate to long duration. Solid drinkable brew.

bomber. pours a dirty brown with a 1/4" white head which falls rather quickly leaving a slim lacing around the glass. obvious notes of bourbon fill the nose... there are slight aromas of orange peel, very light oak, and vanilla. thin to medium body... at times this feels a bit watered down... but then the front is full of luscious bourbon, oak and vanilla. apple notes fill the back end with some light malts, more sweet bourbon and oak. overall this feels and tastes like a sub par brown ale put into bourbon barrels... I am a bit confused by the whole thing and really want more depth in the base beer.... The bourbon really shines, but doesnít have anything to really hold onto. I am left wondering do I dump this or drink it?
