Growler from ale yeah. Lots of red fruit and a little pepper spice. Caramel toffee and sweet candi sugars. Nice complex drink. Little bit of cocoa and molasses. Wild yeast like aroma. Some vanilla and wood working throughout. Pleasantly surprised.

Appearance: Pours like liquid mahogany and cherry woods with a fluffy khaki head that leaves spots of lace on the sides of my glass as it fades into a thin layer.
Nose: Bourbon esters with vanilla, chocolate, and fudge. Heat in the back tickles the nose. Melted caramel and vanilla with fudge ripples and candy apples bobbing up and down. Kahlua. Old woods. Hazelnut and chocolate liquor.
Palate: Cinnamon and nutmeg along the sides. Vanilla, caramel, and candied apples in the middle. Skor bars underneath for creamy chocolate and crunchy toffee. Kahlua and hazelnut liquor truffles. Warms the chest.
Final Thoughts: Red Brick is always hit or miss with me and their 17th Anniversary was a home-run for this Beer Ambassador. Delicious, decadent, and intense without being overwhelming. A fine example of an American Strong Ale and perfect for sipping on a cold winterís eve in front of a crackling fireplace.

12 oz bottle. (Beverage World) Fort Oglethorpe, GA.
Dark reddish brown colour with a small tan head. Cherry, sherry, roasted malt, whiskey sweetness and wood dryness in the aroma. Complex. Sourness, sweet whiskey, roasted malt and bitterness in the flavour. Rich. Enjoyable.

Almost black pour. A little chunky. Small off-white head. Not much lacing. Peppery wood aroma with hints of vanilla. Taste is peppery with a nice bourbon tone. Nice vanilla presence. Some notes of sugar, dark fruit, and spice. Great beer.

Bottle. Pours hazy reddish hazel, large creamy tan head, nice lacing. Aroma is bourbon, caramel, grains. Flavor is the same, medium sweet, lightly bitter, fair amount of woody astringency. Medium body. Meh.

Reddish brown pour with a cream colored head. Loads of booze and oak in this, some brown sugar, golden raisins. The booze dominates. I think this is my 100th rating of a GA beer.

Bottle - Pours a murky brown/red w/ tan head. Smell a lot of booze, burnt oak, vanilla. It taste very boozy. There is some caramel and very malty. Plus a weird aftertaste almost soapy or lemony. I cant say I care for this one.

One of the stars of the summer 2013 beer tasting. Strong with mild vanilla notes and a great body. Josh brought this one back with him from Mississippi in 2013.

5/13/13. 12oz bottle from... I actually canít remember where from, which is weird. Hazy brown pour with a small, soapy tan head that doesnít last. Big bourbon barrel, not too subtle or appetizing, with touches of caramel. The flavor follows suit... not impressed, as usual with these guys. Iím mostly confused as to how this ended up in my fridge. Iím thinking maybe I got it while in Destin? Oh well, what do you care?

12oz bottle, shared with b3shine. Hazy dark red orange brown color. Lots of yeast particles in the body. Thin off-white head. Little loose dots of lace. Big vanilla and bourbon in the aroma. Some dark fruit, little caramel malt. Bigger body. Softer, lighter carbonation. Light stickiness in the finish. Long vanilla bourbon malty aftertaste. Lighter hops, just a light earthy hop note, little peat. Mostly get that big woody bourbon aftertaste. Sweeter taste overall. A bit of a boozy bite in the finish. I like the big woody bourbon character, which dominates this brew. Itís kind of powerful though, Iím glad I shared this 12ozíer. I wouldnít want any more or less than the 6 oz I had.
