Red Brick Brewing (Atlanta) is renaming their Brown Ale to A-Town Brown. This awesome new artwork by Jert goes along with the name change. Red Brick is Atlanta’s oldest craft brewery, with Brown Ale being the first beer produced back in 1993. Those not in Atlanta, the label depicts some iconic Atlanta things/buildings. MARTA the nearly inefficient mass transit train, the capitol building, the iconic Hyatt Hotel, Sundial Restaurant, Hank Aaron’s 715, and more.

Tallahassee, Fl. - Fermentation Lounge - on tap. Medium brown pour, thick khaki colored head, thick lacing. Aroma has some chocolate accents, molasses, some buttery notes.Full bodied flavor with some chocolate notes, a bit of nuttiness, some baked brown bread. Rich, thick mouthfeel. Decent.

bottle from trade with springslicker; one of my fav. styles and first rate from this brewery; different kind of brown - it was between an amber and a brown to me - malty aroma; good amount of carbonation, malty brown sugar taste with some will balanced hops. would drink again; but not sure it is a brown...

Very rich for the style. Caramel and nuts, lingering mild bitterness. A bit sour in the finish. Not sour as in bad, but that sour aftertaste browns are prone too. Sweet.

Delicious beer. Goes down smooth and easy. Has a wonderful malt flavor that very well balanced.

Rich aroma has notes of caramel and chocolate, plus a hint of brown sugar. Definitely says "Drink me!" Pours a clear mahogany with a respectable light tan head. Satisfying flavor has a malty core that supports caramel, hoppy, nutty and earthy notes plus a hint of chocolate. Texture is fairly fizzy, though a tad on the thin side. Get your A-town on! (And I hope MARTA goes where you wanna go.)
