Cask Handpump at the London Hotel, Llandudno 07/05/2007 Hoppy and floral aromas. Small white head. Golden coloured hoppy and smooth on the palate with a little dryness in a crisp full malt finish.

A Mes rate: Cask at Baker Street ’Spoons. Not impressed at all. A slight sourness spoils it me thinks. Ian hit the nail on the head with the balance. Blah.

Cask handpull at Penderels Oak, JDW, Holborn. Copper colour with thin beige head. Earthy bitter. Slightly syrupy with the malt. Yeasty aroma, some mineral. Some sharpness. Some green apple, too sour to be pleasant. Malt/hop/yeast is out of balance.

A bit of a malty beast, bready and toffee coming through in both aroma and taste, slight bittering and grassy hops coming through in the finish.

Cask conditioned @ Standing Order (JDW), Soton. Copper coloured. Dusty hops mild caramel and a little bready malt. In the mouth a reasonably bitter finish which feels powdery and combined with some almost tea like tannin didnt leave me wanting another.
