Botella, Abraxas. Hazy - chunky, actually - and blonde. Aroma is a little stodgy but there’s also some florals. A little muddled and the bitterness is indinstinct.

Tmoney99 (8782) - Cincinnati, Ohio, USA - OCT 13, 2011
Bottle shared by alexsdad06. Poured clear copper color with an average frothy off-white head that was mostly lasting with excellent lacing. Moderate to heavy complex hop aroma. Medium to full body with a slick texture and soft carbonation. Medium to heavy bitter flavor with a medium to heavy bittersweet finish of moderate to long duration. This is a good beer that exceeded my expectations.

   AROMA 8/10   APPEARANCE 4/5   TASTE 8/10   PALATE 3/5   OVERALL 16/20
hopscotch (8215) - Vero Beach, Florida, USA - DEC 1, 2011
Bottle… Clear burnt-orange ale with millions of floaties and a large, creamy, off-white head. Fantastic retention. Fruity, malty nose – toffee, caramel, and a mélange of orange and other citrus fruits. Full-bodied and creamy with lazy carbonation. Plenty of bitter, flavorful hops supported by a large malt backbone that compliments rather than outshines. Finishes bitter and tongue-numbing. Low sweetness throughout. This beer is a meal and totally means business.

Ughsmash (6669) - Waukesha, Wisconsin, USA - JAN 8, 2012
Bottled. Poured slightly-hazy, duller golden with a short, dense off-white head. The aroma picked up resiny pine and sweet grapefruit over caramel and lightly-honeyed base.. came across strong, but without an overt alcohol presence.. simple and clean. The flavor opened with bright, tart citrus zest and black pepper.. sugary-sweet caramel at the core.. warm, peppery, and a tad gritty on the finish. Medium-plus bodied and well-carbonated on the palate,, became rough in the end.. OK overall.
