Piney grapefruit aroma. Toasty grain flavor bordering on a nice pilsner in that respect. The hops come through again a little later on the palate and in the finish. Grassy and hay like that is followed by some resins pine aspects. Not a typical hop profile but still enjoyable.

Tallahassee, Fl - ABC Liquors - 12 oz bottle. Murky dark orange pour, sticky off-white head that leaves a bit of lacing. Aroma has some nice patented spruce notes with a hint of citrus. Flavor is bittersweet with nice citrusy grapefruit and some passion fruit essence. Malty, nutty back end to balance it out. Smooth, somewhat thick mouthfeel. Pretty decent.

Pours cloudy golden orange with nice lacing. Nice citrus hops on the nose. Palate has a very nice hop profile, not overdone, with a good citrus peel flavor. Very enjoyable, probably best i’ve had from this brewery.

Multiple bottles. Went to georgia last weekend and saw this in the grocery store. Not something we get here in nc so i bought a six pack for the hotel. Pours out an amber color with a slight white head on it. Smell is very fruity and full of hops and citrus. Taste is sweet and smooth, interesting beer. Veryeasyto drink and something i would easily get again. Surprised it is rated this low.

2/21/12. 12oz bottle. Hazy orange pour - under the light there’s a ton of particulates floating about, all under a small khaki head. Surprisingly decent hop aroma - earthy and piney with touches of citrus. The flavor is much the same - I’m getting plenty of pine/juniper that lingers with pale malts, almost pilsner-like, and some caramel sweetness. I have to say - not terrible!
3.3 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20 Aurelius (3457) - Tallahassee, Florida, USA - FEB 17, 2012
Not the worst label I’ve ever seen, but it puts me in a mind of Christmas with the red and green candy stripe - and nothing says Christmas like a toad. The beer itself is cloudy and light brown. The aroma is a broadside assault of hops at first - as things settle down and warm there is lots of fresh pineapple, and the hops fade back into a supporting kat whizz role. Sweet (not too) and candied at times with lots of pineapple. The hops are really in a flavor and aroma role, and the brew is really not very bitter at all, until the end when it gets strongly bitter and perhaps a bit overbrewed tasting. Medium body, loses carbonation some. ABC Liquors, Betton.
