12oz bottle. Orange color. Loads of floaties make it a bit un-appealing Aroma of hops; simple pine. Malt scent is a simple caramel. Tastes of very bitter hops, distant malt. Not great.

TURDFERGUSON (3912) - Carrboro, North Carolina, USA - MAY 8, 2012
Bottle. 200th IPA rating. Cloudy orange pour, thick white head. Nose hoppy-herbal and grassy, light pine and citrus, light toffee malts. Flavor is a little more on the malty side, hops are still there but not as vibrant as the nose. Bitter finish, but not much hop flavor going on here. Drinkable, but forgettable.

Not the worst label Iíve ever seen, but it puts me in a mind of Christmas with the red and green candy stripe - and nothing says Christmas like a toad. The beer itself is cloudy and light brown. The aroma is a broadside assault of hops at first - as things settle down and warm there is lots of fresh pineapple, and the hops fade back into a supporting kat whizz role. Sweet (not too) and candied at times with lots of pineapple. The hops are really in a flavor and aroma role, and the brew is really not very bitter at all, until the end when it gets strongly bitter and perhaps a bit overbrewed tasting. Medium body, loses carbonation some. ABC Liquors, Betton.

Shared by turdferguson. Murky amber orange pour, floaties (bottom of bottle). One finger of off white head. Nose is resin heavy, lots of oily hop notes, light oxidation with bready notes and a citric quality. Lightly zesty quality to the flavor, otherwise the hop character is very resinous. Piney with a slightly papery quality. Not bad, needs some work but a great start.

Bottle from Total Wine, Naples. The pourís amber with a tiny head. Plenty of dandruff and floaties in the glass. The nose is full of caramel, sweetened orange peel, toast. The taste is more caramel, a bit of unripened melon. Moderately grassy bitterness on the finish. Medium body, soft carbonation. Overall, a pretty middle of the road IPA.

12oz bonus bottle from adamjackson. Poured a slightly hazed orange/amber with an average at best foamy white head that fades slowly. Aroma is of sweet tropical fruit pulp and some rind along with malts peach and apricot skins wet toast and old hops. The body has a fuller slightly milky feel and very light carbonation. Flavor is older bread crusts at first followed by fruit skins, some apricot, peach and mango and finishes with smoke bitter happiness. Drinkable

onceblind (3673) - Denver, Colorado, USA - FEB 3, 2014
Clear amber with a fast-fading head. Nose smells leafy and a wee bit resinous with a small sweetness behind it. The flavor is strongly hopped with some leafy and grassy bitterness, a little pine, finishing with an amberish caramel tone. A little heavy on the leafy resin, otherwise kinda average and forgettable. Frankly, a little on the tame side, especially toward the end of the glass.

bottle. lots of sediment as previously mentioned. murky copper with small white head. lemon and pine nose. flavor is quite bitter in the finish. lots of piney citrus hops that deliver a punishing aftertaste. a sticky sweet malt tries to provide balance. pine and caramel. medium-full body. kind of dirty. not an atl summer beer.

12 ounce bottle from Ale Yeah. Starts with a nice aroma of hops and resin then is followed by too much toffee caramel for the IPA I like.
