3.7 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
Bottle shared by Blake. This was a very nice surprise at the end of the night. Good hoppy floral aroma with possibly a little bit of sweet honey in the mix. Smooth and well balanced. Not too shabby.

3.2 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 14/20
Not crazy about this. Hop nose is restrained, initially all sweet caramel malt and maybe even a hint of diacetyl, but then it showed some floral and citrus hops. Flavor starts with a peppery hop burst then some thick caramel mouthfeel. Lingering citrus pepper bitterness. More bitter than flavored by hops, too heavy with malts. Usual amber color.

3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
Not an overly complex beer. If youíre a fan of bitterness without much balance, this is for you. Could use a tad more malt finish, more body, more sweetness. Still, with the catfish I was eating in Vicksburg, it wasnít too bad.

2.2 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 8/20
Bottle. Pours an orangish gold with a massive head and aromas of herbal hops, citrus and dish soap. Flavor is astringent and soapy with little redeeming to offer the world.

3.4 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
Piney grapefruit aroma. Toasty grain flavor bordering on a nice pilsner in that respect. The hops come through again a little later on the palate and in the finish. Grassy and hay like that is followed by some resins pine aspects. Not a typical hop profile but still enjoyable.

3.1 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 1/5 OVERALL 14/20
12 oz bottle on 11/21/11. first, it does not live up to its nameÖ it is a malt forward IPA - where the hops take a back seat. deep orange pour with lots of sediment and a 1+ finger white head. citrus hop nose with a big caramel malt presence. medium body with orange bitterness, smooth caramel malts and light spice. deep caramel malt finish with light bitterness that sticks around for a bit. if you like your IPAs balanced and in the English style - this is for you.

3.3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 13/20
Bottle. Moderate to heavy malt notes of roasted and caramel, light orange for the hops, faint soap for the yeast, with a hint of date. Head is small, frothy, white with fair lacing and is fully diminishing. Color is hazy medium amber with some big chunky bits. Flavor starts lightly sweet and acidic, then finishes moderately bitter. Palate is medium, oily with a lively carbonation. A little light in hop aroma. Not a bad IPA, bitter, herbal and slick in texture.
