Draft at Taco Mac. Copper with an off white head. Scent is floral with caramel. Taste is caramel and earthy. Better than expected.

Pours a clear deep gold until the bottom of the bottle when a gush of particulate clouded the glass. Tall off-white head. Soft grapefruit and pine hop aroma. The flavor is light bitterness. Not very assertive or robust in itís bitterness. Soft palate, but not fully watery.

Pours hazy burnt orange color with off white head. Aromas of pine, citrus, floral hops, and caramel. Biscuit flavor with some pine and citrus hops. Medium body with average carbonation.

The nose is floral and peppery hops. The malt was a bit of a suprise. Definite honey to the fairly assertive malt flavor. The finish is a slightly astringent bitterness. This is a real IPA. Surprisingly aggressive beer from Red Brick.

This beer has all the right components but it lacks the proper desire to make it truly inspiring. The malts and hops are good but their is an ending astringent flavor. Drinkable ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

From a bottle. Pours opaque orange copper with a bubbly white head. Tastes bitter, like roasted malt, burnt toast, tangy dried fruit, and citrus hops. Light body and low carbonation. Smells like tangy citrus hops, burnt malt, and caramel.

6 pack from Five Points. Pours a cloudy orange with a small white head. This is a solid IPA. A whiff presents assertive citrusy hop presence with a tasteful malts. Itís some general acidic bite. The flavor is clean with a grassy, grapefruity tang. Hoplanta may not provide a huge PNW IPA experience, but itís clean, solid and packs a respectable hop punch. I like it.

From Red Brick Brewing. 6.2% brewed in Oct. 2014 so 7 months old. A mild pine aroma with a thick sweet caramel malt backbone. Fairly full bodied but a bit syrupy sweet. I get the feeling this IPA is passed its best with most of the hop character having dropped out...

Pint at Tylerís Apex. Good aroma. Sweet. Orange, date, earthy, soy. Clean copper color. Good head and lace. Bitter sweet flavor. Medium body. Creamy mouthfeel. Bitter finish. Meh. Odd aroma.

Piney grapefruit aroma. Toasty grain flavor bordering on a nice pilsner in that respect. The hops come through again a little later on the palate and in the finish. Grassy and hay like that is followed by some resins pine aspects. Not a typical hop profile but still enjoyable.
