I wonder how a beer like this would do in a blind IPA tasting, because sometimes I think beers benefit from lowered expectations, and sometimes they tend to get pre-judged because there from a brewery that everyone had decided is mediocre. For example, this was a nice, fairly sessionable IPA that seemed as good as IPA from breweries held in higher esteem. I liked it, and would get again.

Shared by turdferguson. Murky amber orange pour, floaties (bottom of bottle). One finger of off white head. Nose is resin heavy, lots of oily hop notes, light oxidation with bready notes and a citric quality. Lightly zesty quality to the flavor, otherwise the hop character is very resinous. Piney with a slightly papery quality. Not bad, needs some work but a great start.

2/21/12. 12oz bottle. Hazy orange pour - under the light there’s a ton of particulates floating about, all under a small khaki head. Surprisingly decent hop aroma - earthy and piney with touches of citrus. The flavor is much the same - I’m getting plenty of pine/juniper that lingers with pale malts, almost pilsner-like, and some caramel sweetness. I have to say - not terrible!

Hoppy, yes. Thin off white lacing and an amber color. This beer is thick with yeast sediment...crazy thick. The sediment and oiliness stay in the mouth and linger. The flavor isn’t anything too exciting.

poured from 12oz beer - Was on vacation and came across this in Memphis. Not bad, pretty basic and not very imaginative, but definitely worth my time. Good balance with a bias toward dry citrus and pine.

Poured from a bottle with amber color and lots of sediment. a surprising amount in fact. Aroma of hops, but not overpowering, clear grapefruit smell. Actually not a very hoppy beer. Slightly malty and smooth. smooth and well balanced beer.

Copper pour with a thin tan head. Aroma is nice and hoppy with citrus notes. Flavor is orange and grapefruit with some sticky malt on the back end. Pleasant enough, nothing that will knock your socks off though. Would make a good session beer although the abv is probably a tad too high. Good brew.

Piney grapefruit aroma. Toasty grain flavor bordering on a nice pilsner in that respect. The hops come through again a little later on the palate and in the finish. Grassy and hay like that is followed by some resins pine aspects. Not a typical hop profile but still enjoyable.
