lb4lb (1453), Austin, Texas, USA May 14, 2008 Bottle courtesy of robbmotiwalla in trade. Thanks!
Pours a light orange, transluscent color with a short lived light beige head. Smell is huge on cantaloupe and a bit of a metallic smell. Taste is moderately hoppy and bittered with big juicy ripe melon flavors and a crisp, sharp bite to it. Moderate to high carbonation on an average body. Really has a hoppy melon flavor to it. Decent pale ale.
JCB (1069), Durham, North Carolina, USA Oct 9, 2008 On tap at The Federal, Durham. Light orange color, with a frothy and somewhat creamy head. Nose is faintly malty but mostly sweet, soft, floral hops. The body is fairly thick, although not bready. Clean tasting, easy drinking, not a bad pale ale at all. ucusty (1215), Wake Forest, North Carolina, USA Oct 5, 2008 . Light amber colored with a white head. Moderate lacing. Hoppy aroma, but something strange, vegetal?? Taste is all bittering hops, absolutely no balance. Thin bodied. Butters (424), Temporarily in Nashville, Tennessee, USA Sep 15, 2008 Nice near clear orangish pour with good sustainable off-white head and some lacing. Exceptionally fruity aroma, i think the name influenced me to smell peaches, and dried apricots in trail mix. Flavor of hop acidity, citric. Body is medium chewy with fair carbonation. Finish is a little cloying on the palate BlackDonald (1039), North Carolina, USA Aug 10, 2008 Its been awhile, but this used to be a pretty decent pale ale. Lightly hopped nose, with some cookie dough maltiness and some citrusy hops bittering out the finish. Simple, balanced and drinkable. Hank1980 (369), Athens, Georgia, USA Jul 17, 2008 Bottle. Poured a clear orange. Aroma almost all hop, very little else. Taste is similar, with a very mild malt backing. Finish is lightly bitter. Tried this with some other pale ales, and this held up very well. Mouth was middle of the road, but still nice.
