Bottle. Pours a black color with a small off-white head. Has a roasted malty chocolate aroma with hints of caramel. Raosted malty chocolate and coffee flavor. Has a roasted malty chocolate finish.

Bottle. Pours a dark mahogany with a medium-sized off-white head. Aroma is great: roasted malt, lots of coffee and chocolate, slightly sweet. Flavor is quite different. Coffee, chocolate, roast malt, but emphasis is on tart licorice. Fairly light palate; some astringency.

Bottle at Papsø. Pours dark brown with a fluffy off white head. The aroma is light roasted, tobacco, chocolate and light coffee. The flavour is roast, tobacco, chocolate and light coffee.

4 oz sample. Pours black with a little light coming through. Aroma is nice and roasty with some sweet chocolate as well, also some burnt notes. Taste is nice, sweet and bitter. Great beer and a surprise because this brewery is fairly new to me and I wasn’t expecting something this good.

Not too smoky but overall ok. Good color, caramel and smoke. My new fave by red brick. Not my favorite brewery.

Draft. Clear, dark copper with a decent tan head. The nose is of roasted, nutty and chocolate. The flavor is cocoa malts and roastiness. A nice brew for a backyard brewery. Will drink again for sure.

Fruity and light roasted flavour of caramel and dark chocolate with notes of hops.

Bottled. An amber beer with a tan head. The aroma has notes of nuts, caramel, and butterscotch. The flavor is sweet with notes of malt, caramel, bread, and butterscotch, leading to a bitter finish.

Bottled. A hazy dark brown beer with a lazing brown head. The aroma is sweet with a light touch of acidity and notes of herbs and roasted malt. The flavor is sweet and acidic and strong notes of herbs combined with light notes of alcohol and metal, leading to a dry roasted finish. The alcohol bites lightly in the tongue. Thanks to Papsoe.
