3.2 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20 youdictategood (234) - Florida, USA - MAR 3, 2013
Dark brown pour with a large khaki head, a lot of foamy lacing sticks around. Super-sweet aroma of chocolate, malt, and caramel. Taste follows - maybe a little too sweet, and the booziness isn’t balanced in the taste. Good enough, but probably wouldn’t buy again.
3.9 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 18/20 buxtron (4) - - MAR 1, 2013 does not count
Nose: roast coffee, dark roasted malt. Occasional floral/herbal notes.
Taste: lots of dark roast coffee. Just enough bittering hops. Good mouth feel, not too syrupy.

2.9 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 12/20 Imaena (846) - Atlanta, Georgia, USA - FEB 1, 2013
Bottle. This is a porter that is too thin and too high in alcohol. When I think southern beer I do not think of porter.
2.6 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 10/20 gnoff (6317) - Mölndal, SWEDEN - DEC 9, 2012
12 fl oz bottle at Abraxas, Miami Beach, on December 2, 2012. Clear dark brown color, huge rocky tan head. Sweet, spicy, herbal scent. Smoke, mineral, malty, toffee taste. Coffee aftertaste. Medium mouthfeel, low bitterness. Very spritzy mouthfeel. When drinking from the bottle instead of the glass it grows a lot in the mouth. Some dough scent too. I think this bottle was a bad one.

Pours a dark mahogany brownish black, with a large foamy head. Nose is malty and chocolate. Taste is malty with a nice chocolate taste, not over the top regarding sweetness. Carbonation is soft, with a medium texture. Finish is dry, and finishes light despite the ABV. Quaff Score 7 / 10
