COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Weep for your Northern brethren: Long winters, suspect college football, and perhaps worst of all, no Red Brick beer. Since 1993 we’ve been brewing fine craft beers for the South and only the South. We’re proud to stand alongside grits, hound dogs and Mama as embodiments of the Southern lifestyle. We’re proud to be beer from around here. Until ’10 was known as Red Brick Double Chocolate Oatmeal Porter.

Pours with little aroma and very little head. The finish is bitter and acrid. I can’t say that i really enjoy this porter.

I picked this one up on my way home from Missouri. It smells of light chocolate, coffee, and heavy roasts. Very little head and zero light shown through. Lightly sweet, and overall a beer that I would drink again if I come across it.

Bottle at Pazzeria. Pours dark brown with a huge beige, lacing head. Intense chocolate nose. Chocolate, espresso, vanilla flavours, ending on a dryish milky caramel note. Thick texture. Original masterpiece.

One of my favorites from this brewery. Full bodied and good for the autumn / winter season. Poured from a bottle. Could have slightly more carbonation... Slightly.. I like this beer and have purchased it multiple times and will continue to do so.

Bottle. Pours a very dark brown color with a small tan head on it. Nose is sweet and caramel with some chocolate in there. Taste has some roasting in it, but has a lot of sweetness in the finish without much else to balance it out. Not a great example of a porter.

Served in a Laughing Skull pint glass at the brewery. Relatively lively carbonation for a porter, yet smooth. Medium+ body. Very dark reddish brown. Clear, with a thin tan head that rapidly reduces to a lasting ring. Quite nice looking but a bit light and red for a porter. Aroma: Lots of dark malt and coffee with just a hint of spicy hops. Taste follows nose, although the coffee is less pronounced until the finish. Some dark chocolate too. Good flavor and aroma, easy to drink, but lacking complexity and depth. (from Oct. 2011 notes)

Pours a very dark brown with a tan head, smells of chocolate, earthy and smoky. Taste very much like it smells and very pleasant mouthfeel, great beer shame it only comes in 4 packs
