CaptBier (252), Birmingham, Alabama, USA Oct 3, 2007 Bottle. Pours an odd yellow color with a thick white head. Leaves pretty quick. Strong citrus aroma. Taste is, well, awful. Tastes very skunky. Myabe I just got a bad bottle.
Cybercat (400), USA Aug 27, 2008 This hefe pours a cloudy canary yellow and has a nice thick white head. Aroma is not strong but wheaty and appetizing, with just a hint of fruit. Flavor is typical of a fine hefeweizen - wheaty and malty with a fruity undertone, not complex but refreshing. Texture is crisp and smooth. ross (1531), charlotte, North Carolina, USA Jun 26, 2008 Bottle. This beer is infected, but I believe it produces a nice sour flavor that actually makes the beer very enjoyable. Who would have thought I would say that? Sure its kind of metallic in places, but damn if the sour doesnt mesh well with the fact that it has so much carbonation. A surprisingly good, but not what they intended, beer. mhelgason (421), Charlotte, North Carolina, USA May 28, 2008 bottle. small white fizzy head (mostly dissapating) into cloudy yellow body. decent lacing present. aromas of yeast and citrus. flavor is bitter sweet throughout. moderate finish duration. average carbonation. okay brew. Skyview (2851), Papoose Jct., Minnesota, USA May 26, 2008 Sampled at BDR’s tasting and shared by BDR. Pours a hazy straw golden yellow brew with a fast dissolving white head that dissipates nearly clean. Aroma of some pre-skonk hops, a touch of lemon zest and some white bread malt, Taste is acidic and slightly vinegared and metallic. Oh, oh... may have been an infected bottle. Willing to try again. JK (2411), Twin Cities, Minnesota, USA Apr 27, 2008 Mild wheat aroma. Cloudy yellow. Some wheat, but kind of skunked. It might have been a bad bottle but from other ratings, it might not be the only one.
