3.9 AROMA 3/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 10/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 18/20
Pours black and thick with a thin brown head. Starts sweet and then the vanilla kicks in, followed by the chocolate bitters. Very nice!

Draft. Dark brown pour with minimal off white head. Aroma is big vanilla, chocolate with hints at coffee and some roast. Taste is medium sweet vanill and equal parts chocolate. Leaps and bounds better than the smoked. I think these guys have finally found a groove. Nice.

Pours a thick black on tap with a good tan cream head that leaves light lacing. Aroma is chocolate and vanilla extract sweetness. Taste is big sweetness, vanilla and chocolate, smooth with no hint of the booze. Pretty solid.

12 oz. Opaque black with a lasting film of cream. Nose is mocha, vanilla, earthy peanut and wood. Taste begins very nicely as a mix of the same then turns to raw peanut and bitter wood. The long finish has way too much bitter vanilla bean and wood. Smooth medium body is drinkable, but the taste that goes with it just doesnít work for me.

I guess it's decent for what it is. Ive had better and worse. Certainly can do worse. Probably the best thing I've had from red brick.

On tap at Proof. Sparse note: Light vanilla vibe. Cocoa, tinny, drinkable, cola. Iím usually not down with vanilla, but this was strangely nice. 7.2

Had this at Top of the Hops 2013 in the VIP section. It was alright, but not as infused with vanilla as I was expecting.

Poured a thick, heavy, brown out of the bottle with a small frothy head. Right off the bat, you get sweet, coffee smokey flavors with a suprisingly good roasty malt flavor on the palate. One of the best porters Iíve had!

Pours a deep, warm, opaque sable with a fairly thick and fine-bubbled tan head. Smoky aroma has a firm overtone of semi-sweet chocolate and more than a hint of vanilla, plus hints of caramel and quality coffee. Flavor - oo la la, like drinking a Hershey bar with Irish coffee! Strongly chocolaty, plus coffee, roast malt, caramel, vanilla, hints of licorice and woody hops. Absolutely lip-smacking. Firm texture has plenty of fizz and life. Where does a vanilla gorilla drink beer? Anywhere he (or she) wants to! :D
