Super pale and bland, rather watery with hints of grain and a touch of despair.

Very light and clear, not much head. Not much aroma. A bit of malt taste - no hops. Drank a ton of this in my day - not very good now.

Do they even make this stuff anymore? Beer of choice for cheap frat boys. Not a fan.

UPDATED: DEC 14, 2010 I agree with another rater here that this beer has gotten a bad wrap probably for no other reason than that it’s a macro-brew that has now been relegated to 30-pack status. I bet some folks that rate this in the ’1’ range would be surprised if they compared it in blind test. As evidence, Red Dog has done historically well at both World Beer Cup and GABF venues. Poured a dark amber with a nice head that faded slowly to lace. Aroma of malts with a slight fruity hint. Not a bad taste with malts predominating and also including hints of corn and possibly rice. Decent mouthfeel. Overall, not bad for the price (less 40 cents/can). A good lawn mower beer at worst.

Bad - really bad. Doesn’t make me sick when drinking it, but very close. I will never drink this beer again. Bought it on the cheap for a big party.
