COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Smooth, silky vanilla undertones, dark malty bitterness, funky subtle Belgian notes, it’s a brand new beer! Organic vanilla extract adds a really pleasing twist to this magic brew.

330ml bottle. Pours an opaque black, with a tiny and quickly fading light beige head, which leaves no lace. Banana, milk chocolate and some vanilla make up a quite sweet aroma. Mild spice hops up front lead into some slightly douhgy Belgian yeast and chocolate. The vanilla comes in towards the finish, along with strong and sweet banana. The name says it all about this beer. It is a porter, with added vanilla and some Belgian yeast flavours. It all works together fairly well, but it is all a bit subdued: it lacks a real wow factor. Worth trying.

Pours almost black with a beige head. Aroma is malt, vanilla, raisins and other fruit, chocolate and some yeast. Taste is medium sweet leading to a sweetish finish. Decent, although a little disappointing.

Bottle from Plonk. Dark brown just agree with ComradeK; what you’d expect, a sweet, dry, malty porter, chocolatey, roasty with a distinct Belgian yeast character. Could do with more body, was a bit light on but flavours were a pleasant mix. Nice.

Average porter. Lacks that punch, that flavour you expect. Its rather disappointing in fact. The vanilla is subdued at the start then becomes a little overwhelming!

Dark cocoa brown, thin head and little carbonation. Vanilla and coffee, light bitter after taste.

Bottle from Mane Liquor. Pours dark, dark brown with no head. Can smell the vanilla on the nose straight away. Quite sweet yt balanced behind some heavy roast and a touch of ash. Sweet caramel in the taste with a touch of coffee but the roast and vanilla overrun those quite quickly through the taste. Ok but not great

Bottle 330ml from Purvis. Great sweet porter. Aromas of chocolate, vanilla, coffee, and herbs. Taste is sweet, with long length. Palate is velvety, with a medium-to-full body. Black, with a thin head.

330ml bottle. This dark complex beer carries a head of sandy foam. Looks strong and bold in the glass. Carbonation persists until the end. Aroma has vanilla and malt notes throughout while not overpowering they are enough to make you want to drink it. Big ballsy flavour that coats the tongue.

Not bad at all. A long way from traditional porter, as you’d expect, with a peaty cola, a stinky note and a sliver of sweetness from the vanilla. Actually once you get past the cola and peat it’s actually quite sweet. Quite fizzy as per the house style.
