RATINGS: 26 MEAN: 3.52/5.0 WEIGHTED AVG: 3.37 IBU: 60 EST. CALORIES: 210 ABV: 7% COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION The Calcutta Gazette, 1822, advertised goods just landed after a 4 month voyage around the Cape of Good Hope: “Hodgson’s warranted prime pale ale of the genuine October brewing, warranted fully equal, if not superior, to any ever before received in the settlement.” Red Duck Bengal IPA is a beer that pays homage to the original British IPAs, but with a modern touch by using generous, but not aggressive, amounts of Centennial and Cascade hops. The bitterness is moderate for this style, around 55-60 IBUs, and at 7% Alc/vol, it means that this is a really drinkable IPA. Bengal IPA has a great balance between hop flavours, aromas and rich malt characters. Pale malt and a small amount of caramalt has given the ale a deep golden amber colour. And the good news is we have added Bengal to our regular brews, so it is available all year round.
