SWB - Special Wheat Beer. Our special wheat beer is quite aromatic, floral and citrus hoppy characters, a full flavoured malty light ale, which pours with a vigourous head in the style of german wheat beers. Proof that light beers are not all flavourless, bland or boring

1 Jul 2006 - Very light sweet fruit aroma but lacks oomph. Cloudy amber light brown colour, oridnary head and low suds lacing. Sour, tart, low fruit, nice complex hoppiness but lacks some sweetness. Light sour and hoppy bitter finish. Something different but not my taste, although maybe be better as match with the right food

Slight malt hop aroma. Clear amber colour with good head and lacing. Malt hop flavour. Fizzy palate.

Fizzy low density disappears very quickly. Rusty orange in colour, slightly cloudy, undistinguished. Sweet fruity nose, a touch on the elegant side. Nice confectionary notes and tropical fruits give the bouquet some depth. Thins out somewhat in the palate, not a total surprise given the low ABV. Quite a dry palate with good bitterness on the finish but the sweetness promised on the nose is not present. Good enough to warrant a try but I’d prefer the Cooper’s mild over this and maybe even LC’s Rogers.

SWB - Special Wheat Beer. Bright dark gold body with a large white head. Good carbonation. Thought it should be a bit hazy. Fairly light in taste and body, is it a mid-strength wheat beer like a Redback Mild? Mainly cloves that I pick up in the taste which wasn’t that fresh and then hop oil on the finish.
