Tap at Old Fashioned. Brown-black body, respectable beige head. Pretty much all you can ask for in a Schwarz. Doughy, fresh, mellow chocolate. Medium bodied, balanced. Brown chocolate, caramel.

On draught at the Red Eye brewpub in Wausau, Wisconsin. Pours a clear cola brown colored brew with a creamy beige head that slowly dissipates and leaves behind some spotty lacing. Aroma of toasted dark malt, a hint of fruit, floral hops and some mild chocolate. Taste is medium bodied, flavors of toasted dark malt, a hint of chocolate, very light coffee and a touch of floral hops. Finish is semi-dry, then a crisp aftertaste with some toasted dark malt presence. Leaning towards a light porter character but with lighter body. Solid Schwarzbier overall.
