4 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20 phishpond417 (2089) - Madison, Wisconsin, USA - JUL 6, 2009Wow! Another amazing brew from Red Eye. Colour was the least impressive aspect of this beer. clear dull orange colour with a two finger sized head. Aroma was awesome. Super piney and floral all the way through- smell like a christmas tree. Taste was astringent, wicked hoppy and fresh of the freshest. Wicked tastey. Keep up the good works guys!

Enjoyed a cold pint at the Wausau brewpub. Everything about this IPA is right on target: pleasant citrus aroma, beautiful to look at, and layers of malty sweetness and hoppy bitterness in the taste. Stop by and try one when in the middle of Wisconsin.
3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20 BVery (4305) - Burnsville, Minnesota, USA - SEP 1, 2011
On tab at the brewpub in Wausau, WI. Golden yellow pour with a white head. Pine hop and lemon on the nose. Smooth, slightly carbonated palate. Great taste - pine hop, citrus, and extremely well balanced. Just very well done. Pairs great with the pizza.
4 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20 Ughsmash (6723) - Waukesha, Wisconsin, USA - JUN 29, 2011
On tap at Red Eye. Poured crystal-clear lighter orange with a sticky white head.. looked very good in the glass. The aroma picked up juicy pine and grapefruit over a sweet caramel base.. fairly simple, but entirely enjoyable! The flavor was sweet as expected, but there was a great deal of delicious (and refreshing) fresh pine and citrus bitterness around.. juicy, with resiny bitterness sticking around a while on the finish. Medium-bodied and well-balanced on the palate.. just excellent stuff!

On tap at Old Fashioned in Madison, pours a hazy orange with a thin head and some lacing, hoppy aroma with some tropical fruit notes, the flavor has a nice balance between the hops and the malt with some grapefruit in the finish, yum.

Pours hazy orange with white head, aroma has notes of pine, some caramel, touch of orange. Taste is piny bitter, some citrus sweet leading into caramel, finishing with a spice and pine bitter finish. Pretty good, wish it was this same beer with less sweetness, the hop character has good qualities.

Pint pour at Granite Peak. Pours a cloudy orange with a fluffy, oily head. Smells great, caramel, honey and citrus hops. Taste is lightly bitter citrus hops, honey, citrus oils. Finishes nice oily body with good linger.

On tap at the Red Eye brewpub. Hazy orange-amber with a thin white head and decent lacing. Aroma of citrus and floral hops balanced out by enough sweet malt, but it’s an IPA all the way. Light notes of pine as well. Taste is balanced nicely too with orange, grapefruit and pine on the hop side and caramel and sweet malt on the malt side. Moderate lasting bitterness. Most of the beer were solid on my visit to Red Eye, too bad it’s not closer to home!
3.2 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20 nuplastikk (3353) - Madison, Wisconsin, USA - NOV 3, 2010
Draft at Old Fashioned. Rather thin yellow-orange, transparent. Thin, soapy non-head. Dry citrus aroma. Soapy, quite bitter. Dry grapefruit tones, rather one-dimensional. Thin, toasty malt background. Drinkable, but not that impressive. Lacks depth, despite solid bitterness.
3.8 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20 Sabrinic (23) - Oak Lawn, Illinois, USA - MAR 4, 2010
On tap at brewery and at the bar in Granite Peak. Light orange pour. Pine, floral and citrus aroma. Strong hoppy bitter taste and finish. Really good, tasty IPA. I drank it every day while skiing at Granite Peak.
2.7 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20 scoobysnak (312) - Appleton, Wisconsin, USA - JAN 9, 2010
Very typical for the style. Absolutely nothing bad to say about it but it definitely doesn’t take any chances to make it stand out.
