Watership Brown is Red Hareís hopped up brown ale. Medium brown in color, this beer starts off with an almost nutty nose. The initial taste is very sweet and then followed by the roasted character of the darker grains used in this beer. At roughly 55 IBUís the hop character is very noticeable but not overpowering and balances with the 7.2% ABV for a slightly sweet, somewhat hoppy, and definitely roasted finish.

Iím a little surprised at the low ratings for this beer. Itís a very good brown. Nutty. Brown sugar. Exactly what the style should be.
