Chilled and into a tulip. Nice even pour. Well conditioned; the carbonation that eddies its way to atmosphere is minute in size and plentiful, raising up a towering plume of white. The beer an orange amber in colour and hazy from the dispersed yeast pack. A pleasing waft of clean, sweet malt and spicy, herbal and floral hops hits the nose with nuances of pine needles, vine clippings, peach and honeysuckle making for an alluring aroma. First sip brought a smile; the palate is awoken by the perfect balance of malt and hops. It has a delicate sweetness to the front like the honeysuckle fruit and peach of the aroma. Clean, grainy mid-palate before the hops kick into high gear. Piney, floral, earthy and well pronounced. It peaks on the swallow harbouring some tropical fruit esters before dropping off dry, bitter and piney. A taste of rose water rises from the depths and lingers long between each sip. Mouthfeel is good; quite light, delicate even with mild to low carbonation. Gets better as it warms a little opening up more of the sweet fruit. All the elements just work in perfect harmony. I just love this beer, what a surprisingly good Pilsner. How have I overlooked it for so long. One of the best I’ve tried! (33cL, no date stamp, Cellarbrations Carlisle)

330ml bottle. Dull orange amber colour with quite a big head.Looks as though it has a decent body for a pilsener. There is a lot of biscuity malt aromas present and none of the grassy notes usually associated with pilseners. Tastes good and has good mouthfeel.

Bottle. Fresh and bountiful. More in the style of a NZ Pilsner, this is full of wonderful hoppy goodness that just explodes in the mouth. Special.

Bottle 330ml. Great malty beer, almost too good for the style. Aromas of biscuit, caramel, and cherries. Taste is sweet, with bitter notes, and long length. Palate is velvety, and medium bodied. Dark yellow, with a frothy head.

Pours exceedingly well. Pale gold, with a long lasting sparkling white head, which is constantly rejuvinated by steady, fine carbonation. Delicate aromas of cut grass, pineapple and toast cautiously hover above the head. The palate offers rewarding flavours of citrus peels, cereal, a hint of honey with a truckload of spice on the back palate. Red Hill have done a whole lot right here, but the palate is just too light for me. The small addition of a darker malt would add just enough body to tip this beer from above average into excellent. I was staggered at the 5.9% Alc/Vol when I read the label. Balance, flavour, length, nose, presentation exquisite, palate weight & texture a let down. More Bohemian please!

Big fruit and flowers aroma. Murky yellow brown colour with great head and lacing. Sweet malt fruit flower flavour with spices. Fizzy palate.

Bottle. Pours dark golden with inch think creamy coloured head. Subdued aromas though floral grassy hop aromas do show through. Some sweet malt flavours initially followed by resiny hops. Quite bitter finish. Not too bad

Peculiar aroma, quite strong and malty. Pours a golden amber colour, slighly hazy. Small white head that doesn’t last very long. Lightly carbonated. Sweet and creamy, with a bitter after taste.
