COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
The brewery's own version of a Belgian Strong Golden Ale is available now. A style of beer developed and made famous by 'Duvel' it is renowned for being "the devil's brew", at 8% it's pure evil and impossible to resist. Beautifully golden in colour with a smooth deceptive softness Red Hill's Temptation will be no exception. With champagne like bubbles it will be served in a goblet to showcase it's luxuriant big white foamy head.
Available only at the Brewery in goblets and bottles.

Poura a sligthly pale golden colour with a classic huge balgian head that last forever. Aroma of candysugar, dough, hay and some cinnamon. Flavour is very sweet, almost a bit too much. Lot of candysugar and dough, and a cinnamon finish. Medium to full bodied wirh a soft palate, but a lot of carbonation. Overall, a good beer, but nothing superspecial.

East of Everything (14-Nov-13) Very light herbal citrus aroma. Amber light cloudy colour, ordinary head and suds lacing. Sweet herbal spirit fruit Slight ashy fruit spirit hot finish. More a golden strong ale.

From a 330ml bottle on 30/11/2012. Pours a cloudy yellow golden with bugger all head. The aroma is Belgian yeast, some apple and spices. The flavour is sweet and fruity, with lots of yeast and spices present. There is some tart apple and more spices in the medium bitter finish. The carbonation is lively but typical of the style. While certainly not my favourite style, this is a decent crack at a strong Belgian ale.

330ml bottle. Soft white head above a hazy light golden amber colour. Spice and fruit in the aroma is pleasant with a strong warming flavour with a hint of sweetness in the background.

Lovely golden colour with a nice white head that has good retention. Spicy and fruity nose - those typical Belgian notes and some apples, bananas and white grapes. Palate is thick and creamy, with a nice tart bite on the finish. Good beer worth trying, just donít drink too cold.

UPDATED: JAN 10, 2013 Tap at brewery. Very cloudy orange with an off-white head. Aroma and taste of pears, candi sugar, dough, grapes, lemon, cloves. Very easy drinking for 8.5%. A little like one of those Belgian versions of an English Ale. Also a touch of German "new wine" if youíve had it. Refreshing and engaging, but completely unlike the last time I tried this.

Bottle, same day. Tap was very cloudy, so poured with abandon. Cloudy orange, white head. Aroma has dough, cloves, cheese, pears, apricots. Fruity sweetness with pears, grapes and apricots, dough; mildly spicy finish (white pepper, cardamon, cloves, vanilla) is also quite yeasty. Very cheesy yeast. Could use just a little astringency or bitterness?

Bottle (2 days later). Equally careless pour, but this oneís clear orange with a white head that fades sharply. Thereís sediment, but without swirling the bottom it didnít come out this time - is goo at the bottom of the bottle. Aroma as above, but much less cheese. Rather more spice in the taste - itís really quite peppery. This one really is quite Duvelish.

I wouldnít have picked any two of these as the same beer. Now I canít remember what last yearís was like. I quite liked them all, but I guess the third was what they were going for. [3.4]

Bottle. Frustrating, this one. All the flavours are there and the spices are lovely, but the yeastiness of it muddies things.

Bottle. Pours a dirty golden colour with dense creamy head. Some lacing as the head falls away. Nice aromas of dark fruit, banana, and some alcohol with a decent malt backbone. Flavours are a little subdued with some malt, spices and a little alcohol. Quite lively carbonation as expected. Not bad.

Bottle. Delicious flavour. Aroma is fruity, with apple, and also caramel. Flavour is very long-lasting, and combines bitter and sweet notes nicely. Velvety in the palate, medium-bodied. Yellow colour, with a fizzy white head.
