Commercial Description:
Cloudy in appearance, aromatic and highly carbonated. Lightly hopped with our own Tettnanger hop flowers. You may notice “banana” aromas which is created by the special type of yeast used and the higher fermentation temperatures. This is balanced by a tart finish on the palate which is caused by the high percentage of Wheat Malt in the grain bill. You really must drink this one in the 500ml tall glasses specially designed for this beer to fully appreciate the creamy, white head and aromatics of the beer.

bottled, brewtopia, melbourne. hazy golden. sweet popcorn aroma was a bit of a worry, tasted like under ripe banana with some vanilla and lemon and decent yeast character. not too bad

Sunburnt straw coloured body that was slightly hazy, had a good size white head and plenty of carbonation. Soft smooth banana taste with the yeast helping to fill out the body a bit, a little oily and some citrus notes on the finish.

A quality wheat beer from one of Victoria’s leading brewers. It’s light on the banana notes but very satisfying. Murky bottle-conditioned pale gold. Couldn’t raise much of a head. Nice ’clean’ wheaty aroma with faint mashed bananas, canned pear juice and a pinch of clove. Medium bodied, which gives it quite a substantial feeling for the style - lovely. Moderate carbonation - again a plus. Quite yeasty, with banana cream and pronounced clove notes in the swallow. Slightly acidic in the finish, with faint bitterness. (330ml bottle from Purvis Cellars, Melbourne)

I hope this is a bad bottle because this one undershot expectations. Thin, small head with an orange / borwn glow, a fraction cloudy. Citrus nose of orange peel and some confectionary sweetness. Firm and sharp in the mouth, borders of being tart, almost hard. Lacks the fruit character I would expect for the style although the orange notes persist.
