Labarde (22), Australia Jun 15, 2008 Medium white head that dissipated quickly. Light yellow brown colour and only slight cloudiness. Very sweet fruity nose of banana. Maybe banana cake even. Quite high carbonation. Taste is quite sweet, again with a big dose of banana. Slight spiciness. Mouthfeel is extremely smooth with a crisp finish. A decent brew that could have done with a bit more spice.
Unholy_Brewing (312), Melbourne, Australia Sep 17, 2008 ...bottle. Poured a cloudy amber with a small white head, that wasn’t very lasting. I didn’t think this beer had the carbonation it should have, as said on the bottle. Aromas were of some apricot, pear, bananna and hints of the interesting tettnager hops. Flavors were wheat, some faint spicy clove notes, hints of vanilla, and dried fruit. Medium bodied, with a sweet and spicy, dry finish. Decent brew, and worth trying. MBison (403), Southern Highlands, Australia Sep 14, 2008 Bottle (330ml). Poured a dull, muddy straw with a large, frothy, white head which was average lasting. Aroma was packed with creamy ripe banana with vanilla, cloves, pears and some sweet bready malts. Flavor was a huge disappointment (compared to the aroma); very stale with old brown bread, vanilla, dried apricots, hint of cinnamon, metallic notes and dry pears in the finish. Light bodied with medium carbonation, a dry mouthfeel and an ok finish Could have been a bad bottle. Dredd (366), Ormond, Australia Feb 28, 2008 Pours with a slightly yellow tinge to this cloudy beer. White head that quickly dissipates which is a bit dissapointing. Nose is mainly banana with a hint of vanilla, this follows through in to the taste which is mainly banana and some slight spice to it. Overall a nice enjoyable summer beer. andreic (18), Australia Jan 31, 2008 Looks like a good hefe - nice biggish white head, medium-high carbonation, pale yellow colour and cloudy. Aroma is nice - bubblegum, some banana, vanilla. Some bubblegum in the taste, but not much, and a tart, rather tangy finish. Certainly one of the best aussie wheat beers I’ve tried.
