2.6 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 12/20
Bottle 330 ml at home, poured into a shaker glass. New country tick. ABV 6.9%
Deep golden yellow colour on the body with lots of activity in it, in the form of tiny bubbles. One finger of white and froathy head, disappearing fast but that may be because of the shaker glass, I’ve noticed the foam doesn’t last long when I use it. Anywat, eventually what remains is a thin layer of foam on the beer’s surface and no lacing.
Aroma of malts, green apples, bread, light alcohol. It’s the kind of aroma that when I meet in a beer,I know this beer is one that will give me a headache if I am not careful.
Taste is quite fruity actually and refreshing.By fruity I mean mostly green apples or more exact apple juice. That only lasts for a moment though before all the malts come forward, making this beer quite sweet. Grass and soil on the aftertaste.
Quite thin body, carbonation is okay and actually maybe a bit low or at least tends to the low side.
Overall not as bad as I thought, seeing it’s a malt liquor, requires though a certain level of caution.

Looks like Canadian, Smells like Canadian and tastes like Canadian that’s not as watered down. Fairly boozy on the finish especially if you let this one warm up.

Clear golden colour, white head. Aroma of malts, mint, banana, sweets (zuurtjes), somewhat vegetal. Bit skunky flavour, grains and rice. Finish sweet rice, sour touch.

500 ml can at abv 8% bought at 7-Eleven in Metropolis Plaza, Sheung Shui.
Clear pale and dull golden colour; No head and trace of soapy white foam fades in 5 seconds; No lacing and Notable slight carbonation; Quite pungent smell of malt and lager malt, with light corn, grains, light alcohol and hint of grass; Close to light sweet taste of thin malt, with, light alcohol, soggy bread, faint wet cardboard notes of lemon and very light grass; Mid to light body, watery palate; Mouth feel is almost a macro Pale - very thin malt and very watery - but with a very strong presence of light alcohol; Grainy taste is minimal, so with everything else; Booziness is certainly there, taste light, not harsh; Hoppiness is barely detectable grass nose, faint citrus and grass taste, and zero bitterness for an alcoholic finish; Wet after taste, easy and quite boozy to mouth.
Comments: This is not as bad as I feared, but also not good either - decent macro Pale base with thinnest body and maltyness possible, minimal adjunct taste and faults, and a omnipresent strong light booziness. Pretty clean for a malt likka, and fully quaffable as a good cheap fix. Okay with me.

Odd unbaked fruit biscuit nose. Mesmerising. Flat. Acidic. Oily. Super sweet malt finish. Horrendous.

Bottle, thanks Craig. Pale yellow with white head. Aroma of green apple, fumes. Taste is quite rank, strange chemical flavour. Sweet with a lingering finish.

1.4 AROMA 2/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 2/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 5/20
330ml can. BB 2 Jul 14. Poured a clear pale gold colour with a two-finger white foamy head that retained well but left only a few suds as head. Aroma of sweet malt, musty grain and a trace of yeast. Taste of mildly sweet malt, no hops bitterness, and with hints of chemicals. Light body bordering on watery. Light bland finish. Worth a try but not again.

bottle - Clear yellow pour, small white head. It smells of grainy malt. The flavor is of sweet, grainy malt. Corn. Medium bodied. Minimal hops. Kind of boozy. Not good.
