Can shared @ final old style THT. Clear a bit pale golden color, average sized white head. Smell malts, rice, old grains. Taste malts, sweetness, dusty, cardboard. Low body, low to average carbonation. Crap.

UPDATED: JAN 2, 2016 Can. Pours a clear pale golden color with a white head that fades quickly. Aroma of malt, corn and grain. Taste of malt sweetness, corn and syrup. Mild bitterness and a metallic finish. Light body, with an adjunct beer meh feel to it.

Bottle at the End of an Era tasting at ABC Beers, Den Haag. Poured a clear straw colour with a bubbly broken white head. The aroma is light malt. The flavour is light bitter sweet with a light yeast mineral grainy palate. Light bodied with average carbonation.

Crystal clear golden with zero head to speak of. Incredibly high level of carbonation. Pretty boozy for a pale lager. Weird malty, soy aftertaste.

According the bottle, it ’contains any of the following: cereals, sugar, starch; hops’ - who knows what’s in it. Give it a wide berth. The painted bottle is not so bad, but the beer is awful.

Bottle from Wing Yip, Nechells. Light, almost fragrant Pils. Belies the streeength. Good fizz. Light sugar and rainwater. Surprisingly lacks punch or booze impact. Blandish.

UPDATED: MAY 9, 2016 Thai brewed version @ 6%. I think I’m feeling a little more charitable with this tasting. Certainly has some palate weight when compared to other local offerings however it’s really just a very simple sweet note that no doubt the 6% helps fill out. Some fizz mid-palate but it really does ’fizz out’ in a big way on the finish. Does have a ’Red Bull’ lookalike label, perhaps this is marketing intent?
