Thanks to Allan for hauling this back for me! Pours a clear light golden yellow with very little head. The smell is grain, fruit. Taste is sweet light malt, grain ending a bit dry. Fizzy carbonation with light body. Not loving’ it.

Pours a clear yellow/golden with a tiny white head. Aroma of malts, apples, some corn sweetness. Has an unpleasant artificial/metallic aspect to it. Dry finish. A very lame beer devoid of character.

This extra strong lager is brewed in Manilla, Philippines by San Miguel Brewery. It’s pale and poured with a little head. It’s seven-per-cent alcohol and had a hint of tinniness even though it came from a bottle. There was a slight sense of the higher alcohol content in the aroma and flavour, but it went down relatively easy.

14/X/13 - 33cl bottle @ home - BB: 14/V/14, bottled: 14/V/12 (2013-961) Thanks to Tinus for sharing the bottle!

Clear pal orange beer, creamy white head, unstable, dissipates quickly, non adhesive. Aroma: sweet, overripe fruits, banana, sourish, grains. MF: soft carbon, light body, very watery. Taste: bit minty, sourish, some grains, herbal touch, watery. Aftertaste: little sour, bitter hops, grassy, watery ending. Meh. Philippines: check! :p

Halmgul till gyllene. Klar. Doftar spannmål och burkmajs. Obefintlig humledoft. Riktigt jobbig och jolmig i smaken. Alkoholen känns tydligt i eftersmaken, dock inte mer än väntat med tanke på abv. Bismaker av plast och gamla skaldjur. Provning med Gambrinus.

Bottle: Pours a bold golden color with streaming bubbles and a thick, fizzy off-white head. Not much to the aroma; sweet with lager malt, grass, grain, and a little metallic. The taste is sweet. Surprisingly sweet. Almost like corn syrup and grass come together with a really mild lager malt. Finishes crisp. Absolutely no way I would have guessed this at 7% ABV; very well hidden.

Grill 21, NYC 33cl ($6): Drank straight from bottle. Aroma is grain, corn, booze, and sugar. Taste is sweet and malt liquorish, but not offensive. Even the ass-end of this was drinkable and somewhat refreshing. As far as strong lagers go, this wasn’t bad at all. Yeah, the adjuncts were there, but the negative aspects, not so much.

Nice old used 33cl-bottle. I like those!! The beer in the glass is golden, malty-grainy aroma. The beer starts a bit sweet-watery. Not bad, but no real flavour. The mainpart is a bit sweetish, malty, but nothing else. The aftertaste is medium-long, a bit sweet, easy to drink and a bit malty. The 6.9% are noticeable.
--> nice thirst-quenching beer, but for my taste due to the high alcohol only to get drunk soon ;)
--> 8/13/7/8
