rayg1 (405), Ft. Mill, South Carolina, USA Mar 24, 2008 Ok I bought this simply because it was a bottle I had never seen before. Pours out a dark piss yellow with little to no head. Smell kinda makes you cringe, very sugary and boozy with some shitty hops thrown intothe mix. I knew this was a malt liquor by the smell alone before I even got to ratebeer. Now for the taste, Oh fuck me......this is bad. Imagine cat piss and sugar mixed together with a side of rotten veggie and that is this beer. I’m so pissed I have 5 more of these left. Japan is really starting to suck with it beer selection.......I miss home already.
dwyerpg (2042), Las Vegas, Nevada, USA Aug 14, 2008 Smells kind of like sewer water. Tastes a bit strong of alcohol up front. The flavor is not as bad as the aroma. Still it leaves a funky taste as is not that good. PorterPounder (2812), Tallahassee, Florida, USA Jul 29, 2008 St. Petersburg, Fl. - Shep’s Deli - 12 oz bottle. Pale golden pour, pithy white head that dissipates quickly. Industrial, oily aroma with hints of metal. Kind of a bland flavor with some hollow sweetness and a hint of metal. Bump up a point from 7 to 8 on overall impression for the painted bottle - one of the few redeeming qualities of this malt likkah. Heathen (502), Riverside, New Jersey, USA Jul 6, 2008 THOUGHTS: I didn’t have hight hopes for this. The combination of filipino beer and malt liquor weren’t giving it much of a shot at being good. But this was way worse than anything I could have imagined. If it were almost frozen it might be good to get drunk with, but I don’t know how anyone stomaches more than one of these. This would be my first drain pour if I did that sort of thing. I’m not a quitter.
TECHNICAL: Bottle. Poured a clear, light to medium yellow with nice carbonation and an average-sized, fluffy, white head that kept a thin sheet and left good lacing. The aroma was light hay, dust and cardboard. The initial flavor was moderately sweet and sour; while the finish was moderate to heavily sweet, lightly bitter and sour with a short to average duration. It was like honey and water or sugar water or watered down malt or seltzer poured into almost any half way descent malt liquor, along with a little sour lemon. The light to medium body was like watery syrup with soft carbonation and a light alcoholic finish. amphilboy23 (1), Morgan Hill, California, USA does not count May 21, 2008 Enjoyed this beer thoroughly while in the Philippines. Seems to be stronger than most beers, light taste, but dark look. Angeloregon (1867), Portland, Oregon, USA May 18, 2008 Bottle from By The Bottle in Vancouver, WA--The low score here is not justified. This beer is not that great, but better than this score indicates. Golden, copper body with a tiny whitish head. Sweet, malty, sharp, tart, gritty feel. Mild hoppiness. Adjunct-y to some degree. Good end of the day brew. Not that great, though.
