3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
Resinous grapefruit with a bit of a pungent, cattiness and pine. Color is dark copper with a thin-white head. Flavors similar to aroma, sweet with a good amount of hop flavor manifested as pine and a bit of citrus fruit of some sort. Flavor is hop-forward, but there is a lot of sweet caramel malt with some toasted bread. I like that the body isn’t too full,.. it’s a little thin but I think that’s a good thing in this beer. It’s flavorful but drinkable.

They call this an IPA? I had it on tap in Yellowstone. It pours an amber color with a white head. Nose is caramel, hops, tropical fruit. Flavor is caramel/grain; no hops. Light bodied.

3 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Pours a deep golden color with a medium cream-colored head. Piney aroma. Starts mildly bitter on top of some dried fruit flavors. Good finish but a bit of a one trick pony. The flavor is consistent throughout. Just a hint of the homebrew tang. Not bad but not great.

Clear amber pour with a single finger head. Big hoppy aroma that is slightly flowery and a little dish soap-esque. Taste is fairly light and not overly interesting. Caramel, with a bitter finish. Lace present. Light mouthfeel.

3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Served on tap in a pint glass
Appearance – The beer is served amber color with tons of carbonation bubbles seen streaming up through the brew. Upon serving there is a thin white head that rather rapidly fades to leave a moderate level of foamy lace on the sides of the glass.
Smell – The aroma of the beer is strongest of some citrus smells of both a bitter grapefruit hop as well as an orange aroma. Along with these aromas are also some lighter smells of a bready and doughy aroma with some other light smells of pine.
Taste – The taste begins with a rather bready flavor with a decent showing of some grapefruit hop right upfront. There is also some caramel taste and a bit of orange at the start with the caramel later fading some as the taste moves onto the end. The grapefruit all the while grows stronger and is joined by a light earthy and pine flavor. In the end, the mix of flavors that is left on the tongue leaves a very pleasantly hopped but smooth and somewhat crisper citrus flavor to linger on the tongue.
Mouthfeel – The body of the beer is on the average side in terms of its thickness and creaminess with a carbonation level that is rather average. For the style and citrus flavor of the brew the feel is very nice as it maintains a great easy drinking feel, all while being still able to support all the nice flavors well.
Overall – This was a very enjoyable IPA and one I will certainly seek out again. Quite pleasant!!

I bought a 6 pack at Star Liquor in Sheridan. Bottled on date of Sept 20, 2013.
A slow pour brought a 2 finger head of foam sitting on a deep golden coloured brew.
The smell is hoppy with notes of grapefruit and orange backed by a mild malt sweetness.
The taste is mildly bitter hops, again grapefruit and orange, the malt is kind of nonchalant; sometimes a sweetish flavour comes into play and then is gone. I think the hops are just beginning to fade from, what I’d think they were like, when fresh but not enough to where you get that grainy, kind of sickly sweetness old IPAs usually end up suffering from.
Nice mouthfeel here and it is certainly easy to drink. It’s a good brew and decent IPA.
