3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
Resinous grapefruit with a bit of a pungent, cattiness and pine. Color is dark copper with a thin-white head. Flavors similar to aroma, sweet with a good amount of hop flavor manifested as pine and a bit of citrus fruit of some sort. Flavor is hop-forward, but there is a lot of sweet caramel malt with some toasted bread. I like that the body isnít too full,.. itís a little thin but I think thatís a good thing in this beer. Itís flavorful but drinkable.

3.4 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 13/20
On tap at Pete's Pizza in West Yellowstone, MT.
Clear, dark amber copper-red with a creamy off-white head and excellent lacing.
Aroma of bready malt, earthy hops and pine.
Taste of sweet bready malt, orange, pine and musty hops.
Medium body and medium/high carbonation with a very foamy soft mouthfeel.
Rather malty and with subdued hops for an IPA.

3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
I bought a 6 pack at Star Liquor in Sheridan. Bottled on date of Sept 20, 2013.
A slow pour brought a 2 finger head of foam sitting on a deep golden coloured brew.
The smell is hoppy with notes of grapefruit and orange backed by a mild malt sweetness.
The taste is mildly bitter hops, again grapefruit and orange, the malt is kind of nonchalant; sometimes a sweetish flavour comes into play and then is gone. I think the hops are just beginning to fade from, what Iíd think they were like, when fresh but not enough to where you get that grainy, kind of sickly sweetness old IPAs usually end up suffering from.
Nice mouthfeel here and it is certainly easy to drink. Itís a good brew and decent IPA.

Good hop aroma. Surprisingly mild taste with a smooth finish. I'm surprised to read it was a Bronze winner. Good, not great.

On draft at the grizzly bar in roscoe mt. Pours amber with a frothy off white head. Grassy hop aroma. Significant maltiness to this ipa but it really hit the spot after two days in the Beartooth backcountry.

Buddy of mine brought me back a growler of this. Thanks Matt!
A - Pours a clear dark copper with a 1 finger head that sinks pretty quick.
S - Herbal and pine hops, almost smells like sweet basil, caramel malt and a touch of citrus.
T - Follows the nose, herbal and pine hops with a hint of floral, toasted caramel malt, some lemon zest, finishes with average bitterness. Some light tea tannins on the finish.
M - Heavy side of medium bodied with adequate carbonation.
A good IPA that leans towards the green herbal piney side. Good all around!
