3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
Resinous grapefruit with a bit of a pungent, cattiness and pine. Color is dark copper with a thin-white head. Flavors similar to aroma, sweet with a good amount of hop flavor manifested as pine and a bit of citrus fruit of some sort. Flavor is hop-forward, but there is a lot of sweet caramel malt with some toasted bread. I like that the body isnít too full,.. itís a little thin but I think thatís a good thing in this beer. Itís flavorful but drinkable.

2.4 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 9/20
Crisp clear light copper and honey coloured body with a nice and smallish two centimetre tall tan head. Aroma of a lot of caramel, some earthy malt, a touch of grass, a little soap and a hint of floral and perfumey hops. Light-bodied; Strong grassy and herbal flavour up front with hardly any malt at all, some light sugars and very little else - a touch of hops. Aftertaste is pretty mellow as well with a little grassy herb flavour, some stale hops and a bit of grain. Overall, not such a great beer and definitely missing a few aspects to make this decent, but sadly, still nice for me to try given itís a long way from home, and itís a local beer, but if you can get this beer and others regularly, pass this one up, this isnít worth your hard-earned money! I sampled this twelve ounce bottle purchased from Vintage Sellers in Great Falls, Montana on 20-June-2016 for US$1,75 sampled at home in Washington on 16-July-2016.

On tap at Jakeís in Billings. Pours a nice copper color with a little head. Not much aroma but a little pine. Smooth mouthfeel. Taste is mainly light pine. Medium dankness with some lemon. Yeah, pretty solid IPA. Not great but solid. Easy to drink, I think I had three. Bitterness is medium to low.

3 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Pours a deep golden color with a medium cream-colored head. Piney aroma. Starts mildly bitter on top of some dried fruit flavors. Good finish but a bit of a one trick pony. The flavor is consistent throughout. Just a hint of the homebrew tang. Not bad but not great.

2.9 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 12/20
Clear amber pour with a single finger head. Big hoppy aroma that is slightly flowery and a little dish soap-esque. Taste is fairly light and not overly interesting. Caramel, with a bitter finish. Lace present. Light mouthfeel.

3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Served on tap in a pint glass
Appearance Ė The beer is served amber color with tons of carbonation bubbles seen streaming up through the brew. Upon serving there is a thin white head that rather rapidly fades to leave a moderate level of foamy lace on the sides of the glass.
Smell Ė The aroma of the beer is strongest of some citrus smells of both a bitter grapefruit hop as well as an orange aroma. Along with these aromas are also some lighter smells of a bready and doughy aroma with some other light smells of pine.
Taste Ė The taste begins with a rather bready flavor with a decent showing of some grapefruit hop right upfront. There is also some caramel taste and a bit of orange at the start with the caramel later fading some as the taste moves onto the end. The grapefruit all the while grows stronger and is joined by a light earthy and pine flavor. In the end, the mix of flavors that is left on the tongue leaves a very pleasantly hopped but smooth and somewhat crisper citrus flavor to linger on the tongue.
Mouthfeel Ė The body of the beer is on the average side in terms of its thickness and creaminess with a carbonation level that is rather average. For the style and citrus flavor of the brew the feel is very nice as it maintains a great easy drinking feel, all while being still able to support all the nice flavors well.
Overall Ė This was a very enjoyable IPA and one I will certainly seek out again. Quite pleasant!!
