12 ounce bottle thanks to Toby. Pours a clear chestnut color with a medium white head. A nice sweet toasted malt, light nut and caramel nose. The flavor is nice; smooth chocolate, toast, nutty and light smoke. Easygoing.

I really dig this beer. Medium-brown in color, and nice head that will retain for a spell, especially out of a tap. Slightly sweet and smooth, I’m proud to call this my daily drinker!

Pours clear amber with a foamy beige head with medium retention. Aroma of biscuity malts and mild hop. Taste is nutty, burnt bitterness and toffee. Medium body, smooth carbonation.

Tap @ Famous Dave’s in Bozeman: Brownish copper pour with a thin off-white head. Decent bits of lacing. Mild aroma is lightly floral hops with a little roast. Flavor development is similar. Not much going on here past the earhty florals and light roast. Kinda boring.

Bottle. Poured with a small, off-white head that diminished to a thin film. Body was clear with a dark reddish-brown color. Very nice aroma of roasted malt. Light on the palate, slightly creamy texture with soft carbonation. Nice flavor - lightly sweet with a roasted edge that helped the beer go down really smooth. Definitely one I could have again, if not necessarily something to write home about.

on this one i tend to agree with many of the other raters. was not overwhelmed by this beer, but it was ok. definately earthy(see dirty) and sweet. kind of makes me think it was made from extract for some reason.
