hillfiiiiire (208), Atoka, Tennessee, USA Jul 9, 2008 Draft. Really hazy body with orange color. Bready yeast, hay, and, naturally, wheat on the nose. Quite sweet taste is noticeable as different from the hefe style. Nothing that stands out about the flavor or aroma though. Just not offensive. Also, it was a bit boozy, which I found odd for the hefe style. Finishes dry with a thin body feel to it. As I’ve said in several ratings, there was nothing wrong or alarming with it, which ultimately just makes it unworthy of remembrance.
jake65 (1273), Meridian, Idaho, USA Aug 1, 2008 Tap @ The Silver Dollar in Cody, WY. Light, cloudy blonde pour with a huge white head. Nose is grassey, light wheat, and some faint maltiness. Tastes more wheaty and malty with a very light amount of florals. Light lemon is present, but it does feel a bit thin and watery. bitbucket (1566), Kirkland, Washington, USA Jul 28, 2008 Bottle. Pours cloudy gold with a scant white head that produces a few dots of lace. Initial aroma was kind of dusty, but after it sits a bit, some sweet banana comes out. Oranges and wheat in the taste. Medium body, moderate carbonation. Grassy finish. Seems to be sort of straddling the fence between German Hefeweizen and American Wheat. Oscbert (260), Sacramento, California, USA Jul 28, 2008 ~Pours a cloudy golden color with small white head.
~Sour wheaty scent.
~ Wheaty flavor with hints of sourness.
~Dry crisp feel.
~It’s ok. Easy to drink and enjoyable. Just not much to it. Could do without the sourness. riversideAK (1630), Shoreline, Washington, USA Nov 11, 2007 Bottle from Kyzr. Hazy yellow orange with some light brownish hues and no head. Aroma is of lemon and wheat. Flavor is also light wheat with a nice lemon citrus finish. It’s an american wheat beer, so its not too complex, but its enjoyable. Light to medium body with a mildly crisp mouthfeel and moderate carbonation.
