COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Red Oak is a Munich Urtyp (old style) lager. We begin the brewing process with custom kilned imported Munich malt. Red Oak is then is the hopped with Spalt Noble hops imported from Bavaria, the oldest hop growing region in the world. Before fermentation we add a yeast strain from Weihenstehpen, the oldest brewery in the world, founded before 1040 AD. Weeks of aging gives Red Oak the smooth taste its known for.

Very, very drinkable. The taste has really grown on me over time. Found locally only in Lowes Foods as the beer has to remain refrigerated as it has no additives or preservatives. Not a powerful aroma or taste; just very smooth.

Overall a quality lager with a very full taste. In my experience, goes very well with red meat.

On tap at the airport in Charlotte. This is a nice Marzen. Orangish/yellow pour with a white head. Honey, german malt, and sweet corn flavors...

Draft. Pours amber thin white head. Aroma of caramel, bread, brown sugar. Flavor is quite sweet. Medium body, sweet finish. A little too sweet for my taste but not bad.

Rich amber color. Mild malty aroma. Malty flavor but a very refreshing mouthfeel and a goos bite.

Below average beer. Have had this beer a lot most recently at twin city taps. Is a nice suggestion for someone just discovering the world of beer.
