Carolina Favorite one of the many hidden gems that haven’t caught on to the mainstream. A delicious medium bodied brew for those who dont like something to bitter or to dark

Thoroughly average go-to if you’re looking for a casual beer or if you’re looking for a local alternative to macro lagers. On-tap and bottled are consistently identical (good QA/QC, guys). Wish it was cheaper so as to better compete on the local market.

3.5 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 12/20
From tap. Pours a wonderful clear red color with little head. Aroma is sweet in both caramel and fruit. Taste follows as a caramel malt with a little bready taste and lots of sweet fruit. Crisp finish.

Tap. Deep amber with small head. Very smooth. Slight sweetness and light caramel. Depending on your mood, this could either be described as a bit watery, or a bit light bodied.

2.6 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 10/20
This one is fairly meh. Pours an amber color with some hints of red and very little head. No smell to speak of. A little sweetness, but quite a few malty flavors.

3.3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Tap at Mellow Mushroom, Greensboro. Pours a red amber with a nice off white head. Aroma is sweet, very malty, caramel, a bit hoppy and nutty. Flavor is malty, a bit sweet, not too much hoppy bitter, toasted, a bit fruity and toasted. Finishes with some caramel sweetness, maltyness, bitter and a bit nutty. Not bad at all.

Tap flight in a plastic cup at Charlotte airport. Light copper color pour. Aroma of coconut and coriander. Taste is subtly sweet caramel malt and allspice. Dry finish, though. Clean and easy drinking.

3.1 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 12/20
A petty standard amberish aroma of light malt and sugar. Great red color. This is fruity and sweet. Like cherries almost. Don’t gen any of the fruit in the aroma though. It’s hard to really enjoy this for me though. Like a crisp hoppy cherry beer. Weird. Not bad, just odd. The official description at the bar here calls this mellow! Hah!
