COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Hummingbird is a light lager or Hell (Helles) similar to those found throughout Bavaria. We use carefully selected Pilsner malt... then it is delicately hopped with imported Tettnang noble hops. Then we add a proprietary lager yeast strain which is not filtered out. Hummin’ Bird is slow cold aged for over one month resulting in a lush mouth feel.

Below average. Nice carbonation and mouthfeel but flavors are harsh and unbalance on the sweet and sour sides.

Hummin’ Bird is a light lager, ideal for warm weather days. Pours deep golden with a slight head. Aroma is unusual, owing itself to Red Oak’s proprietary yeast strain, as evident in all their beers. Slightly vegetal, the flavor shows light wheatiness with a fruity lemon overtone. Hop character is grassy.

Pours a golden color with a small well retained head and some bit of lace. The aroma is fairly faint but has some doughy and fruity notes. Teh flavor has some zesty citrus characteristics along with some fruity hops and a mild spiciness. The palate is nicely fizzy.

This brew did absolutely nothing for me - not even going to waste my time telling you all of the things I didn’t like about it

Yellowish pour with large head. Malts and bread in aroma, slightly nutty. Flavor of corn and metallic. Basically a micro brew Bud Lite, no thanks.

Sampled at the brewery. Pours a hazy lemon yellow color. Large head, good head retention and lacing. Aroma of bread, grass, caramel and nuts. Taste is bitter grassy hops, bread and light citrus notes. Thin bodied and watery. Called a "helles" by the brewery.

On tap and Fox and Hound. Pours a pale clear yellow with small white head. Aroma is almost entirely missing, but at least it isn’t offensive. Flavors of butter and corn. Reminds me of a budlight. Thin and carbonic. A pass.
