1.8 AROMA 3/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 7/20
1/26/14. 12oz can from Trader Joe’s, labeled as "Name Tag Lager." I’m sure it’s fizzy and golden. Whatevs. Plain appley aroma, some hay, corny. Plain flavor, not as bad as the aroma had me thinking, corny, light apple, hay. Meh.

2.2 AROMA 3/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 10/20
12oz can, from my local Trader Joe’s. 59 cents. Shared with b3shine. Clear golden color. Minimal white head. No lace sticks. Kind of an acidic, lightly tart, corn-like notes. Funky in a bad way, with a acidic bite. Moderate sweet taste, light bitter, not as bad in the taste as in the aroma. Medium body. Smooth, lighter carbonation. Not a good aroma, but reasonably smooth and not much bite in the finish. Solid, good for the price, beats macro-lagers.

2.3 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 8/20
Can to half-pint glass (share by DrSilverworm). Looks solid; a transparent gold with white head that quickly dissipates into thin lacing. Smells semi-sweet and lightly hoppy with notes of lager yeast. Tastes like it smells, only not as balanced or robust. Average on the palate. Okay for what it is.

There’s no corn in this? Odd; I taste corn. And seaweed. And tin. And sticky malt. And that’s about it.

2.3 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 9/20
Clear, yellow beer, quickly dissipating white head. Can that looks like a prop off a sitcom. Sweetish, cheap malt aroma. Sweet, next-to-no hops, slightly astringent. Medium body, astringent, starchy finish. Trader Joe’s, Tallahassee.

1.9 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 7/20
Tallahassee, Fl - Trader Joe’s - 12 oz can (labeled as Name Tag Classic). Pours a sparkling light golden with a quickly diminishing white head. Aroma is metallic and dull. Flavor has a hint of honey sweetness, a touch of metal, some pale lager blandness. Mouthfeel is industrial and thin. Worth the $0.67 I paid for it.

1.9 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 3/10 PALATE 1/5 OVERALL 6/20
Type: 12-oz. can
Glass: 0.5L stein
From: Trader Joe’s is La Mesa (San Diego), Calif.
Price: $3.49 for a 6-pack
Purchased: Sept. 26, 2013
Consumed: Sept. 26, 2013
Poured a honey golden clear color with 1-to-2 fingers of off-white head. Decent amount of layered foamy lacing along the sides. Above average retention on the top most of the way down.
Smelled caramel, banana, kiwi, Circus Peanuts, faint butterscotch, bubblegum, butter, grape and gloves.
Tasted like a watered down version of the smell with a gross aftertaste. Watery versions of banana, kiwi, grape, Circus Peanuts, corn, hay, bread and butter. Can’t put my finger on the aftertaste, but it’s not pleasant at all.
Light body. Thin texture. Soft carbonation. Watery, abrupt finish.

2.3 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 9/20
Can under the "Name Tag Lager" label. Deep golden-orange color with a medium white head that burns away gradually. Short strings of lacing on the glass. Aroma of corn (despite the description), malt and slight hops. Light-bodied with flavors of grainy malt and mild grassy hops. The finish is slightly fruity with a lightly bitter hops aftertaste. Below average overall.

1.2 AROMA 2/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 1/10 PALATE 1/5 OVERALL 6/20
Another "fail" from Trader Joe’s. Utterly unexceptional. Tasteless. Smooth and malty, but it failed in all other categories so down the drain it went!

2.4 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 9/20
Better than average, as pale lagers go. Rich gold color, though no head to speak of. Faint grain aroma with no off notes. Surprisingly full mouth feel, very smooth with a malty finish.
