Bottle shared during the first Late Nite session of RBWG 2015. Pours Deep brown with a creamy beige head. Well roasted malts in the nose, some dry cocoa. Medium sweet flavor, some earthy bitterness, lots of rounded chocolate, dark fruits. Full bodied with average carbonation. More cocoa character on the finish. Pretty good depth.

Bottle shared by alexsdad06. Poured a dark brown color with a medium frothy tan head that mostly lasted with very good lacing. Moderate to heavy roasted coffee, chocolate malt aroma. Medium to abundant body with smooth texture and soft carbonation. Medium to heavy sweet flavor with a medium to heavy sweet finish of moderate to long duration. This beer exceeded my expectations.

Taste from a 500ml bottle, big thanks to alexsdad06 for sharing. Black color, with a thin ring of khaki head. Dots and bits of lace. Medium to bigger body. Smooth, kind of chewy, lighter carbonation, lightly slick. Good dark chocolate, toasty aromas, biscuit, moderate roast, hint of coffee, hint of oxidization. Touch of smoke. Moderate-plus bitter taste, moderate sweet. Nice, enjoyable imperial stout. Hides the alcohol well.

Bottle thanks to Secret Santa! Pours black wit ha gray head that dissipates nearly completely. Aroma has lots of dark grains and roasted malts with a bit of bitter chocolate and a hint of licorice. Flavor has a bit more sweet dark grain but still full of roasted malts with some bitter chocolate and a touch of licorice.

Poured up at the Avenues Proper Publick House out of a 50cl bottle which resulted in a full glass of beer with a nice and dark body that supports a full tan head of foam that leaves behind sheet lacing. The aroma offers up dark roasted malts, some spicy anise like black licorice and then a light amount of toffee mixed with dark fruity esters. The taste is rich and roasty with dark roasted malts rolling into chocolate malts and spicy black licorice. It picks up a faint but pleasing degree of sweet dark fruity esters that mingle seamlessly with the dark roastiness into the finish. Nice stuff.

Big thanks to Dallas for the 500mL bottle! Poured medium-deep brown with a creamy, darker tan head. The aroma picked up sweet, roasty black and coffee malts, with touches of vanilla accenting.. some dry-roasted, earthy accents too.. not terribly complex, but solid. The flavor found a bit of plum and raisin to join the black and coffee malts at the core.. lots of ashy roast evident.. tangy roast and peppery alcohol on the warm, spicy finish. Medium-bodied with low-moderate carbonation on the palate.. OK feel and flow. Not the best impy stout, but I’d drink it again.

Bottle shared by my friend Bruce. Pours dark brown with a modest tan head and a treacle aroma. There is a hearty dark molasses flavor with lots of carbonation and a dry finish. Slight dark fruit notes.

500 ml bottle from the brewery. Pours a totally black color with a medium beige head. A sweet chocolate nose, milky. A rich flavor of roast, sweet chocolate, ash, sweet fruity hops. Dry as heck. Interesting. Light dark fruit and cocoa in the finish. Quite good. No heat at all.
