Big thanks to Dallas for the 500mL bottle! Poured medium-deep brown with a creamy, darker tan head. The aroma picked up sweet, roasty black and coffee malts, with touches of vanilla accenting.. some dry-roasted, earthy accents too.. not terribly complex, but solid. The flavor found a bit of plum and raisin to join the black and coffee malts at the core.. lots of ashy roast evident.. tangy roast and peppery alcohol on the warm, spicy finish. Medium-bodied with low-moderate carbonation on the palate.. OK feel and flow. Not the best impy stout, but Id drink it again.

Poured up at the Avenues Proper Publick House out of a 50cl bottle which resulted in a full glass of beer with a nice and dark body that supports a full tan head of foam that leaves behind sheet lacing. The aroma offers up dark roasted malts, some spicy anise like black licorice and then a light amount of toffee mixed with dark fruity esters. The taste is rich and roasty with dark roasted malts rolling into chocolate malts and spicy black licorice. It picks up a faint but pleasing degree of sweet dark fruity esters that mingle seamlessly with the dark roastiness into the finish. Nice stuff.

Bottle shared by my friend Bruce. Pours dark brown with a modest tan head and a treacle aroma. There is a hearty dark molasses flavor with lots of carbonation and a dry finish. Slight dark fruit notes.

500 ml bottle from the brewery. Pours a totally black color with a medium beige head. A sweet chocolate nose, milky. A rich flavor of roast, sweet chocolate, ash, sweet fruity hops. Dry as heck. Interesting. Light dark fruit and cocoa in the finish. Quite good. No heat at all.

Poured from a 500 ml bottle. Pours black with dirty oil hues and a tan head. This is a very roasty beer, coffee, bitter chocolate, resinous hops, smoky, tobacco. This is a solid imperial stout. It does finish on the dry side making it easy to drink. Well done Red Rock!

So few ratings. Is this a wale? Big thanks to douglas88! Near black pour with a tan head. Aroma of pine, chocolate, and lots of roasted/ash notes. A bit too ashy for me really, and it has an odd bitterness that keeps me from really enjoying this one. Great mouthfeel for this, would have never guessed 10% either.
