Bottle from Utah Liquor store. Pours golden with a thin white head. Has a nice citrus thing on the nose. A bit of grapefruit on the tongue with a some solid hoppiness of the finish. Hides its alcohol well. Not bad.

Fruity grapefruit nose. Crisp and clean finish, taste of citrus, grapefruit, and slight orange. Very easy to drink. Mild bubbles with a hint of tartness and fresh hoppy note.

Half liter bottle from Ale Yeah! Pours a.... GUSHER! Pours a clear amber color with a monstrous foamy tan head. Good head retention. Aroma of citrus and pine hops. The taste is citrus and piney hops, grapefruit, mild toffee malts and something slightly off.

Bottle pour dark yellow. Nose of fresh pine and fruit hop. Taste similar to nose, then bitter bite. Some mid palate sweetness then bitter finish.

Bottle from Douglas. Thanks! Pours an attractive orangey gold with a sticky white head. Nose is gooseberry and black currant, tropical fruits and super catty notes. Low malt. On tasting, moderately sweet and super fruity. Moderately high bitterness and clean. An odd bird but an interesting beer overall.

bottle from doublass88 in trade. very nice aroma - powerfule citrus, grapefruit and pine. Not sure what is going on w/me but I hate this - back to the old days of me and iipa’s. this is just toooo much of a grapefruit resin hop bomb - zero enjoyment for me.

Aroma is rather subtle but palate is huge. Resin and spice ride a finely tuned bitterness to deliver an impressive amount of flavor and character. Hop expression and mouth feel are rather complex and evolve through the finish. Malt character contributes significantly to complexity but remains less than obtrusive allowing hops to shine. Outstanding beer.

Surprisingly well balanced considering the level of hopping. High alcohol and bitterness masked by the caramelly sweet backing. Winchell brought this beer back to Lawrence with him from SLC in 2013.

Pours golden with a white head. Aromas of pine, bergamot, some grapefruit, hint of tropical fruit, sweet grain. Taste of orange-y citrus, sweet grainy malt, hop bitterness, and some alcohol showing through but not too much. Finishes with a nice resinous bitterness. Well balanced.

500ml bottle from Haberstam’s, Savannah. Hazy golden pour is plenty appealing, but there’s a distinct whiff of papery malts in the nose. Alas, the DIPA that sits on the unrefrigerated shelf . . . Still, gotta rate what I actually drank rather than potential. So, body was medium bordering on full, with a light tickle on the palate and a moderately dry finish. But the flavors definitely were a bit stale, with some pungency and bitterness preserved but not much in the way of brightness or floral flavors. Certainly on the downside in terms of age, and average in every way because of that.
