Had in 500ml bottle. Pours a hazy bright yellow-oj, white fizzy sticky head. Nose is in short hoppy. resinous, piney, citrus peels, sweet candy malt. Solid hop backing throughout but this is to be expected. Not an overpowering double, definitely have had stronger. Good drinking here though.

A-pours a cloudy golden amber color with a creamy off white head, thick and robust leaving a pretty thick lace on the glass. S-the nose is piney with sticky malts. notes of caramel and cooked brown sugar. piney resignous hops, light citrus and orange. T-the taste is much of the same, sticky malts of caramel and caramelized brown sugar. piney resignous hops and orange citrus light behind. a light lingering bitterness in the finish. M-medium to light body that falls off slightly in the finish. a touch thin with a fair bit of carbonation and semi dry. D-solid double IPA, well balanced with a tasty hop profile and nothing too over the top. the bitterness lingers slightly but not offensively in any way. quite drinkable.

Bottle pours deep gold with a small white head. Aroma shows candied grapefruit, green onion, and caramel. Flavor shows the same with a hint of honey, and a small touch of peach. Overall body is moderate, sticky, and finishes with moderate bitterness. Just not a big fan of the vegetal notes on this one.

Clear red pour, small head. Juicy aroma of citrus, hops, peaches, and some honey.. Flavor is hoppy, citrus, grapefruit, caramel and honey.

Clear deep gold pour with a small head. Aroma of bitter hops and caramel malt. Flavor is malt and vegetal hoppiness. Okay.

12/31/10. Bottle. Solid malty aroma hints at pale malts, honey, and generic bitterness. Somewhat one-dimensional bitter flavor backed nicely by malts. Good balance but not quite complex enough.

Bottle @ Brewpub: Nice copper color with a nice head and lacing. Nose of fresh earthy skunky hops. Big and biscuity. Nice malty body and a clean finish. Nice to see an over 4 beer, especially an IPA and even moreso a double. IPAs, even 4% ones seem to be missing from the lineup at most of the SLC brewpubs. This is very nice though.

Floral aroma. Really nice flavor of pine and hops. Some chewy caramel. Very nice. First time from this brewery. Thanks to Secret Santa.

Clear medium to dark orange color with a large, frothy, good lacing, mostly to full lasting, off-white - yellow head. Aroma is moderate malty, caramel, moderate to heavy hoppy, pine, orange - citrus, moderate grapefruit. Flavor is moderate to heavy sweet and bitter with a long duration. Body is medium, texture is oily, carbonation is soft. [20101030]

500ml bottle acquired in trade with douglas88 (thanks!). Poured a medium to deeper, and cloudy, golden color with an averaged sized head. Aromas of citrus, some caramel, fruity, and lighter pine. Tastes of caramel, citrus, floral, and toasty. Nicely balanced.
