slightly hazy light copper pour with little head - aromas of malt, grapefruit, and pine - flavors are very even with malt and hops fighting each other the whole time - finishes with a lingering citrus/malt. Very good.

Poured a light orange, slight haze, compact white head. Aroma was a blast of citrus and pine hops, light caramel malt background. Flavor was a match, good bitterness on the finish. A touch on the light side of things with the body, made it almost refreshing somehow. Solid, glad I picked this one up to bring back from Utah.

Poors a hazy orange, no head, mild lacing. Smell is very dank with a bit of pine. Nice bite to the pallet, note of apricot.

1- Piney, almost skunky. Low caramel, some bread dough. 2- Medium straw with a white lacey head. Crystal clear, 3- Big pine hop flavor, followed by a succinct hop bitterness. The malt sweetness is there and cleverly hidden. 4- Medium to full body with a hoppy slick texture. Many small rising bubbles lead to a medium-high carbonation level. 5-I quite enjoyed this beer. As it warmed, the skunky character made for a more citrus hop character. I could drink many of these.

Bottle from local liquor store. Sweet citrus aroma, with an orange hazy pour. Big hop flavor with a crisp light finish. Easy to drink

I was told this was their most popular and I can see why. Aroma was superb with sweet hay and floral scents. Great flavor as well with a dry hoppy finish. This Dbl IPA is an excellent value and considerably better than others of the same style in the SLC area.

Bottle from Hayduke. This pours with some haze in the darker golden beer. A sticky lacing remains after the foam falls. Some classic IPA aromas of citrus and tropical fruits combine to make what could be something that hangs from a car’s rear view mirror. The blast of hops tasted is much bigger. They seem to be both wet and dry. Malts are there and are big but the focus here is on hops. I like it.

ryecatcher (655) - Chicago, Illinois, USA - JAN 24, 2014
Bottle. Pours a hazy, golden-orange, smallish white head, so-so retention (no idea how fresh this bottle is). Nose is some citrus, oranges mainly, but more malt than hops. Mouth is medium-full bodied, citrusy hops and malt up front, some hints of peach and mango, then some toasty bread, pineapple and a medium dry finish and a real lack of bitterness considering all the hops proclaimed on the label (again, no idea how old this is). Not bad, but certainly not the ’massive sensory overload’ I was promised.

Bottle shared with Linh. Pours a bright orange body with thick white lacing. Aroma is malty bread and light grapefruit hop. Mouthfeel is medium with lots of bready malts, grain and light bitter grapefruit hop. Seems past it’s prime, so would love to try this on draft or fresher.

Half liter bottle. Pour is deep gold/amber. The smell is resiny and citrusy, very fresh and clean. The flavor is rather dry. Big lemon characteristic as well as a light sweet malt backing. It is definitely not bad.

Bottle thanks to Sledutah. Pours a clear orange with a frothy white head. Aroma of tangerine and some malt. Taste is quite bitter with a slight sweet flavor in the aftertaste. Lightish body with an effervescent mouthfeel.
