Medium body, low bitterness, amber in color, flavored with orange peel, coriander, cloves, cinnamon and ginger. Slightly sweet, but far from heavy, Holiday Ale makes a fine companion to your favorite holiday dessert!

Pours amber with a quickly dissipating white head. Nose is phenolic: bubblegum, banana, spices (clove and maybe nutmeg), alcohol upon warming. Taste of spice cake, bready malt, slight banana, hint of vanilla. Slight residual bitterness that seems out of balance. Kind of cloyingly sweet with a disappointing finish.

Golden amber with white head. Cinnamon spiced aroma. A nice holiday ale, a bit heavy on the spices but quite delicious. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Light clear color. Very spicy character (mostly nutmeg); with sweet, bready malt.

Pint bottle from Hayduke that we had together via facebook chat. This is uber filtered and very clear. An amber hue and a one finger off white head that leaves cool looking lacing. A big nosefull of spices that are almost a spice rack of variety. Something green, too. Hops maybe? This beer tastes hot with alcohol being quite prominent. Malts are dominant and are very sweet. Spices are not too far behind with cinnamon in the lead. From somewhere a bit of fresh hops show up with that green flavor. The alcohol here was probably right but was too big for me. Still, I liked this beer. It had flaws but i like most people and all of them have flaws

This one was shared with Strykzone on Facebook Chat. Poured a very llear amber with an off white head and a lot of lacing . Nose of cinnamon, ginger. coriander. And nutmeg. Allspice maybe. Medium body. Lively mouthfeel. The flavor is much more subdued than the aroma, with lots of cinnamon on a good malt base. The finish is simply spicy and floral hops appear. This is a classic holiday ale. Spices dominate. This is overall a decent beer and the spices in the flavor blend nicely with the malts

500mL bottle. Amber color. Nose of spices, cinnamon, nutmeg. Tastes tangy, hints of Brett. Flavor is sour. Tastes like a Wild Ale, finish has no evidence of spices. Not what I expected. (3922)

Griswald’s Holiday Ale 11/07/2013 has a very subtle spice expression initially with a touch of twang that I expect from lagers. Give it a few minutes and the spices take over in a rather pleasant way without being obnoxious. Though coriander is present, the spice expression does not resemble that of hefeweizen but rather the warm, clove inflected character of mulled wine. The results are pleasant without being ham handed. The twang is somewhat integrated with this expression but those who have a pronounced aversion to this character should take note.

Had on draft at the brewery. The aroma is dominated by spice, cinnamon, coriander, nutmeg, ginger. The aroma reminded me of Thanksgiving dinner. The flavor its dominated by the same spices, but there is a bready malt character as well. Not bad, more spices then I would like.

Half liter bottle from Ale Yeah, Roswell. Pours a clear copper color with a large foamy tan head. Good head retention. Aroma of bready, buttery malts, mild citrus and a spicy finish. The taste is bready malts, citrus, apple juice, spice. Medium bodied. Solid.

cloudy orange/light copper pour - aroma of spices (coriander, cloves, cinnamon and ginger) and orange - flavors of the same with a nice sweet malty finish

Malty aroma has a strong spicy overtone, cloves and coriander with hints of cinnamon and orange. Pours a clear amber with a nice, if not too persistent, fluffy off-white head. Spice dominates the malty flavor, cloves, coriander, cinnamon, a hint of ginger, a touch of orange. Texture has about average firmness and fizz. Nothing outstanding, but heck, Happy Holidays, and whatever you celebrate, may it be merry and joyful!
