COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
As a favorite to many of our visitors, Red Rock's American Style Wheat Ale is the American version of the classic German Hefeweizen. Red Rock's Hefe- meaning "yeast" and -Weizen meaning "wheat" is light in body and is brewed with German Noble Tettnang Hops to give it a low hop bitterness. Hefeweizen is an un-filtered beer, which gives it the cloudy character most commonly associated with this brew. Boost your Hefeweizen with a lemon wedge for a twist or try pairing the flavor with a mild pasta or chicken dish!

Kinz (3188) - Glen Allen, Virginia, USA - MAR 31, 2014
On tap at Red Rock in SLC. Poured a lightly hazy gold, decent head. Aroma was lightly of wheat, a touch of lemon. Flavor was a match. Really wanted to find a bit more of a kick of wheat, or some yeast phenolics, or yeast esters, or really any flavor, but it just wasn’t here. A nice enough lawnmower wheat, but not special.

Draft flight 12/01-Pours a cloudy yellow with a decent head. Aroma of banana, coriander, and wheat. Taste of the same. This light bodied brew is not a god nor bad representation of a hefe.

Taste: Malts, citrus and dirty dishwater
Aroma is great, taste was terrible.

BückDich (5464) - McCall, Idaho, USA - DEC 14, 2010
Draft @ Brewpub: Hazy yellow, light head and lacing. Nose of lemon, light wheat and husk. Bland and very thin. I would think that this would be a beer that they should squeeze some flavor out of at 4%.

omhper (18949) - Tyresö, SWEDEN - JUL 23, 2010
Draught at the brewpub. Cloudy pale golden. No banana, instead there is slight notes of salty wheat crackers. Light-mediu mbody with rounded mouthfeel, surprising spicy bitterness. Pretty much as far away a wheat based beer can be from a hefeweizen.

   AROMA 3/10   APPEARANCE 4/5   TASTE 3/10   PALATE 3/5   OVERALL 7/20
yemenmocha (658) - Glendale, Arizona, USA - AUG 29, 2009
Pours cloudy straw color with white head, and garnished with lemon wedge at the brewpub itself. Nose is faint, with light citrus and a rather clean, but not unpleasant soapy aroma. Palate is thin, flavor is extremely light with wheat cracker, and little of the traditional banana-clove. Very watery and almost flavorless. Failure.

BrewDad (4632) - Olympia, USA - DEC 31, 2008
Taster – Red Rocks Brewing Co. – Salt Lake City, UT – Has a decent what with a citrus aroma. This was light with the lack of malt but overall not too bad. Can drink all day if it was a hot day.

spud1987 (46) - Ann Arbor, Michigan, USA - MAR 29, 2008
On tap at RR Brewing Co in SLC. Poured a cloudy yellow-orange. Very nice appearance. Aroma not too strong, but picked up hints of citrus with the wheat. Flavor was nice and light and crisp with some citrus. Not as complex as some other Hefe’s but good nonetheless. Would gladly drink again.

On tap at the Brewpub. Pours a cloudy orange with a thick white head. The aroma is citrus, spices, and earthy tones. The flavor is also dominated by a light citrus and earthy aspect, also some spices and wheat. Simple, but good.
