COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
As a favorite to many of our visitors, Red Rock's American Style Wheat Ale is the American version of the classic German Hefeweizen. Red Rock's Hefe- meaning "yeast" and -Weizen meaning "wheat" is light in body and is brewed with German Noble Tettnang Hops to give it a low hop bitterness. Hefeweizen is an un-filtered beer, which gives it the cloudy character most commonly associated with this brew. Boost your Hefeweizen with a lemon wedge for a twist or try pairing the flavor with a mild pasta or chicken dish!

on tap 7/21/10 in park city. clear yellow with a small white head. the nose is floral, grain husk, lemon and honey. it tastes the same with a little added dustiness and a lemony finish. it is light bodied, crisp and tart. lacks the thickness i enjoy from the style.5/2/5/2/10/2.4

Draft @ Brewpub: Hazy yellow, light head and lacing. Nose of lemon, light wheat and husk. Bland and very thin. I would think that this would be a beer that they should squeeze some flavor out of at 4%.

Draught at the brewpub. Cloudy pale golden. No banana, instead there is slight notes of salty wheat crackers. Light-mediu mbody with rounded mouthfeel, surprising spicy bitterness. Pretty much as far away a wheat based beer can be from a hefeweizen.

yemenmocha (658) - Glendale, Arizona, USA - AUG 29, 2009
Pours cloudy straw color with white head, and garnished with lemon wedge at the brewpub itself. Nose is faint, with light citrus and a rather clean, but not unpleasant soapy aroma. Palate is thin, flavor is extremely light with wheat cracker, and little of the traditional banana-clove. Very watery and almost flavorless. Failure.

Taster – Red Rocks Brewing Co. – Salt Lake City, UT – Has a decent what with a citrus aroma. This was light with the lack of malt but overall not too bad. Can drink all day if it was a hot day.

On tap at RR Brewing Co in SLC. Poured a cloudy yellow-orange. Very nice appearance. Aroma not too strong, but picked up hints of citrus with the wheat. Flavor was nice and light and crisp with some citrus. Not as complex as some other Hefe’s but good nonetheless. Would gladly drink again.

On tap at the Brewpub. Pours a cloudy orange with a thick white head. The aroma is citrus, spices, and earthy tones. The flavor is also dominated by a light citrus and earthy aspect, also some spices and wheat. Simple, but good.

Poured a cloudy yellow/gold color with a small but thick creamy head. The nose was of wheat and yeast. The flavor started with raw, creamy wheat. light yeasty notes came next with hints of lemon in it. The finish was a little sweet and creamy. The feel is moderate to light. This Hef is like a million other American wheats out there. Okay, but nothing special. Still, on a hot day these would do me just fine.

UPDATED: JUL 9, 2009 Rerate; On tap a few weeks back at the brewpub in SLC. Not much arooma. Color was a bit murky; orange-gold. Flavor was not great; wheat and spice. Just ok. Bumped up .3 points. On draft; color was a hazy yellow. Aroma was light with some wheat and light spice. Flavor was thin, a theme at this brewery. I agree with the rater below that it reminded me of an American wheat.
