3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
500 ml bottle
Thanks to Santa for this Utah release which was actually pretty solid. Sometimes I find breweries like this to be hit or miss. This one manages to land near the mark for the most part.
Aroma / Appearance - A bubbly geyser was the biggest flaw of this otherwise brilliant and bright base. The golden transparent liquid supports a soft white head. Lemon sherbet, hay, residual earthy hops, and dry musty earth form a passable nose for an Americanized saison.
Flavor / Palate - The mouthfeel is just as bubbly as the appearance suggests. Champagne, lemons, and Sprite are at once sweet and tart. The wet earthy finish does a good job of holding together the flavors to the end. This is not the greatest example of the style but there are worse ones on the market.

Citrus, must, touch of spice on the nose. Golden color, not much lacing after 1/2" head. Taste is crisp, nice slight fruit flavored citrus, touch of clove but very subtle.great sunny day beer!

3.8 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 16/20
Bottle-purchased at the Murray location August 2012-pours hazy lite orange hue with a big frothy white head with tons of different bubble sizes. nose is wack-lots of spice, funk, phenols, lemons, bubblegum-sort of not what to expect from a saison however, its very pleasant and clean. love the phenols here, which i usually hate that kind of stuff. Flavors of lemons, lite funk/barnyard corriander-its almost like a Wit saison hybrid beer-bigger in body than a wit yet has alot of wit character. its very good and alot better than the other 4% beers from this brewery (ratings soon to come). easy drinking saison here with quite a bit of character. This could develop with a little time. nice beer!

Flavors of light lemon, hay, dust, a little earthy, floral, mostly lemony in the finish. Dry finish, a touch of spice is there. Quenching, well carbontaed finish, light body, airy feel. Decent.

4 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
500ml bottle - $5.98 at Sherlock’s in Kennesaw, Georgia.
Appearance: Pours out a cloudy, golden body with a large-sized, white, actively foaming head.
Smell: Most sniffs present crisp wheat and tart lemon juice, but, otherwise, you get notes of licorice, coriander seed, oranges, coarse-ground pepper, and chewing gum.
Taste: White wheat and pilsner maltiness, a small, small bit of honeyish sweetness, then a sip of tart lemon juice. Accented by coriander, Mandarin orange, snippet of fresh basil, black pepper, bubblegum. The spicy characteristic settle, allowing the lemony tartness to spring back up. Nearly spritzy, spicy, lemony finish.
Mouthfeel: Medium-thin body. Moderate carbonation.
Overall: It’s a pretty good saison, actually. Nice range of flavors, decently carbonated, and, thankfully, not a big, slick, boozy disaster like so many American saisons.

3.6 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Pours a semi-clear golden straw blonde brew with a slow dissolving white head that leaves behind a nice spotty lacing and a thin white ring. Bottle Aroma of yeast, a touch of banana esters, some light cloves, and a hint of white bread malt. Taste is light to medium bodied with some carbonation with flavors of dry white bread malt, banana esters, cloves a touch of bubblegum, and dry herbs. Finish is semi-dry with a fast disappearing herbal spice aftertaste. Remember to allow this saison to come up to room temperature to get the full flavor and aroma. Love this Saison

3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
Had this at the Downtown location. Received a 500mL bottle and a pint glass.
3.5 A: Very lightly hazed dark yellow. Two fingers of frothy white head. Retention isn’t great and a small ring of lacing is left.
3.5 S: Good amount of herbal and floweriness. Lightly grainy malts. Grapefruit fruitiness. Good.
3.5 T: Grainy, big herbal, earthy fresh spring. Light bitterness and grapefruit.
3.0 M: Medium body. High carbonation for the style and lacking creaminess.
3.5 D: This might be closer to an herbal pale ale than a saison, but it’s still a good beer.
