Pours a semi-clear golden straw blonde brew with a slow dissolving white head that leaves behind a nice spotty lacing and a thin white ring. Bottle Aroma of yeast, a touch of banana esters, some light cloves, and a hint of white bread malt. Taste is light to medium bodied with some carbonation with flavors of dry white bread malt, banana esters, cloves a touch of bubblegum, and dry herbs. Finish is semi-dry with a fast disappearing herbal spice aftertaste. Remember to allow this saison to come up to room temperature to get the full flavor and aroma. Love this Saison

Bottle:   Very pale straw, slight haze, light carbonation, large sudsy white head, fairly decent lacing.   Pale floral and wheaty nose.   A little yeasty as well, but not too heavy.   Soft wheatiness up front, with a pale floral and yeasty background.   Pretty much tastes like it smells.   Not a real bright example, but also not heavy like so many American ones.   Backside shows some more woodsy like floralness.   Body and mouthfeel are average.   As it warms it picks up more of a low shrubby woodsy floral note.   A little different, thankfully not too heavy.   Enjoyable.   Thanks Dallas for the bottle!

Bottle from Hayduke. This was translucent golden and had a nice white fluffy head. I smelled grass and a bit of Belgian yeast with that sugar. Lemon grass was tasted and lead the flavor profile. The Belgian yeast and sugar notes were background. A bit of pepper came late. This is a nice summer beer and was appreciated during a homebrew session.

This was tasted with Strykzone (in person, believe it or not) in Wood River, IL while we were homebrewing. Pours a hazy yellow. Big foamy white head. Medium body with a carbonated mouthfeel. Nose of lemon hops and lots of barnyard funk. Nice flavorful finish. Good.

Bottle pour. Clear light gold with a lasting white head and nice lacing. Aroma is floral hops, Belgian yeast, light lemon notes, some wheat malt character. Taste is sweet flowers, white fruit, light pepper character from the yeast, some more floral hop character, with some sweet malt in the mid palate before moving to an effervescent and thirst quenching finish. Really nice!

Lemony, spicy, earthy/dusty yeast aroma. Spritzy carbonation... Lots-o-head, which dissipates quickly. A lot of fruity flavor (tart lemon, and maybe some subtle pear or something?). Banana/bubblegum in finish/aftertaste. Nice pepper/coriander spiciness, and some earthy yeast flavor. A little sweeter than I generally like in a Saison--but I think it works OK in this one.

pushkinwow (1339) - Ottawa, Ontario, CANADA - JAN 19, 2013
Bottle. Pale hazy yellow with a generous white head that fades to a nice centimeter layer. Some lemon, grass, oddly bubblegum, some spice but very faint, also some creamy brie notes. Mild body and moderate carbonation, little dry, more lemon with grass, slightly sour with some bitterness, becomes quite dry and a little thin on the end.

Serving: 500 ml. bottle via trade from Sledutah. It pours a light amber color with a large white head. The nose has light hay, spice, and floral notes. The flavor follows suit with a bit of pale malt and lemon. Light body with lots of softer carbonation. Pretty decent brew.
